This is distinctly untrue. We're confusing minimums and averages, not taking into account alternatives to median house prices and plenty more. For example, if someone wants to buy a house in Florida, it might take a certain price to buy a home, but you could also just buy land and build something cheap on it, for example.Also, keep in mind the people in question are normally combining two incomes (in a household). Regardless, this has a lot of problems.
