>5 years of hype and trillions of dollars later and all we have is shitty porn, tiktok fodder, mass unemployment, and even more low effort slop on steam
Jesus Christ, why did we get the lamest timeline

It's a bubble but don't tell anyone.
>>
It's funny watching all the Paul Krugmans circa 1998 talk about how the internet is useless.

Noone is saying AI isn't useful, but it can still be a bubble like the dot com bubble. You already have insiders saying that more chips isn't really gonna improve AI a lot more from here, only new algorithms will. I think the projections for chip demand is probably wildly optimistic. Existing infrastructure can already run AI just fine.

>Noone is saying AI isn't useful
No there's literally millions of retards saying exactly that.
>Existing infrastructure can already run AI just fine.
This is why the US rules tech and Europe is so far behind. You just lack vision. Maybe existing infrastructure can run existing AI just fine...but what about future AI? That's what all this money is going into building.

I think the government needs to step in here and provide some financial assistance in order to stabilize and provide liquidity for the Oracle Corporation.

Considering a lot of it is free or a low subscription cost while the servers probably cost millions a month to run, they must be bleeding billions every year

They’ll start using ai for suicide hotlines and then 9/11 dispatchers. The results will be hilarious.

A high p/e wouldn’t be so bad if the fundamental suggests increased profits year over year at high percentages. Anything above 10 is suss but 30 is growth. Nvidia will lose their monopoly to China so $5 trillion is undeserved.

Hype. It's all hope about meme magic. It's supposedly going to do miraculous magical things if you give it enough time, energy, and compute. And if it doesn't deliver, the US is fucked. If it does, either humanity's fucked or the US becomes the defacto ruler of the world.
>in be4 already is
I mean quite literally, nobody debating or contesting it.
