>>522540955
>>522540985Lee Kuan Yew SLee Hsien Loong AGoh Chok Tong B Lawrence Wong too earlySingapore -> Sim curious why you but Lee hsien loong at C
>>522541310Well I don't understand much Singaporean politics, but I feel like he is a bit out of touch. For example, he once said in a video calling for young people to not lie flat, but the problem is that the prices of goods are really high in Singapore from my understanding, and so there really is no other option for them.
>>522541310By the way, I put Singapore in there because I needed to put in 5 images for a valid tier list. Are you Singaporean?
>>522541498i am not singaporean but i know the country inside out. i've learned a lot about it. it's a very fascinating country in my opinion, one of the most interesting in the world.
>>522541679I understand. I believe that if Singapore is doing well with its political system then good for them.Care to explain why you ranked the PMs that way?
>>522541785>Care to explain why you ranked the PMs that way?yeah sureLee Kwan Yew doesn't need to be explained. He created Singapore from nothing. Well, not really nothing. People exagerate a little. Singapore was *something* and was important even 80 years ago, it just wasn't as developed as it is today of course. He took the country from extremely poor to perhaps the wealthiest most developed in the world in one generation. Not only that he created the momentum that continued Singapore's development to this day. Lee Hsien Loong. Son of LKY. he got in there because his father is LKY perhaps. But in a time dominated by US - China conflict, he did really well in staying in the middle on both countries' side. He kept the momentum his father created going and ensured its status as non-corrupt and technocratic. Although a lot of that was supported by mass immigration, which Singapore doesn't really like talking about. But yes, major infrastructure developments under him (Changi, Tuas, new towns, mtr, etc), Marina Bay Sands, military development, diplomatic excellence, etc, etc, Goh Chok Tong being B might be recency bias. But he doesn't seem to have been a very influential prime minister. He was only in for 14 years compared to LKY's 31 and his son's 20. He rode the wave of american dominance post-end of ww2Lawrence wong is only a year in. He has many challenges to face including massive demographic and geographic challenges. Singapore is filling up. they've quite literally developed all the land they can pretty much and their land reclamation is up to the borders of their water boundaries. Singapore has an aging population and has undergone a lot of demographic and internal social changes.
>>522542301*american dominance post-ussr lol not post-ww2 (although that is also true but in a different context)
>>522541459>a bit out of touchthis is true for basically all politicians kek. especially among politicians and the young portion of their constituency. And yes you bring up well that Singapore is going through cost of living crisis. Salaries are very high but so are prices. But singapore also seems to have cheap options for many things, such as hawker centers for food.
Lee kuan yew is based
>>522542648I agree and I praise his vision and his policies against Communism, but sometimes he's wrong and when he is he becomes really wrong.
>>522543006where is somewhere where he was wrong? freedom of speech?
>>522542301>>522540955LKY is ultra based. The only modern leader which I actually admire, not that the bar is really high it's just the rest of the world leaders are pathetic populist weaklings who like to talk big and do nothing. Is Lawrence Wong a good PM?
I eat dog meat
>>522543180I'd rather eat dog meat and live in Singapore than live in this shit hole, so it's not all bad for you
>>522542648See: https://lkyonrace.wordpress.com/> I started off believing all men were equal … I now know that’s the most unlikely thing ever to have been, because millions of years have passed over evolution, people have scattered across the face of this earth, been isolated from each other, developed independently, had different intermixtures between races, peoples, climates, soils.
>>522543166>Is Lawrence Wong a good PM?I feel like it's still simply way too early to say. he hasnt done much
>>522543445Hopefully he ends up being a good PM. I admire Singaporeans a lot, they did in 60 years what we failed to achieve in +200 plus. I hope Lawrence doesn't fuck it up
>>522543180Can you make a Tier List?
>>522543113Well he says a bunch of stuff that's incorrect about Western religions that's based on wrong information.
>>522543606the country is half foreigners already. Singaporeans as we know them are becoming a minority if they're not already. It's not all that bad though as a lot of the immigrants for example are Southeast Asian immigrants. A lot of chinese malaysians, which is the same as chinese singaporeans. and the government purposely maintains a 75-15-10 racial balance roughly between Chinese-Malay-Indian among its CITIZEN and PERMANENT RESIDENT population. This does not include "non-residents", which includes larges swaths of poorer immigrants such as laborers, domestic workers, and even students. Despite different birth rates between ethnicities, that racial breakdown has maintained roughly since the country's independence.
>>522542648He was ABSOLUTELY BASED.
