There is hope if you come to terms that civilization is over and it is a waste of time to expend energy on trying to fix it. Accepting this means you can move to the next stage of enlightenment.But "hope for the future" is vague. You are basically inserting yourself into a paradigm they created. "The Future" implies a linear path that must be taken, so if this is your only conception of "future" then yes it is clear why it may seem hopeless. But you have free will to forge your own subjective future. This will always be there, and if this doesn't give you hope, then I don't know what to tell you.
