Yeah they don't mention it's 16 hour work days, and sleep may be interrupted for drills, bullshit, or covering other shifts
Oh and you're stuck at sea for weeks and months at a time. It's a lifestyle, not just a job.
More money won't attract young people. What would attract people would be opening up the jobs to people who already have degrees but can't find work: put them through an intensive training program and offer debt forgiveness for a two year contract with the normal shitty work conditions.
