The United States seeks to end the SMO in the Russian' borderlands. They want to give Russia as much concessions as necessary and even reintegrate them into the EU economy so as long as they promise to follow US sanctions and embargos against China for leverage against Taiwan. The US's main concern is containing an uncontainable China and their ambition to liberate Taiwan. This is best accomplished by limiting energy supplies to China. So where does Venezuela fall on this? It's simple really, if the US controls Venezuela's oil reserves, then they can make Russia negotiate from a position of weakness with regards to supplying the EU with energy. These moves against Venezuela, the reason they appear slow is to give Russia time to come to the table and reach an agreement. The Venezuelan situation is somewhat of US bluff, though not completely. Because, even if they do manage to secure Venezuelan oil for Europe, and thus, weaken Russia's energy negotiation position, at the end of the day, they still need Russia to cut China off, in case of a Chinese SMO in Taiwan. POLITICAL THEATER SIDE NOTE: Trump making a big deal about the Nobel Peace Prize was no accident. The deal was to give that ZOG prize publicity, to make a name for the Venezuelan ZOG puppet MarIa C. Machado, the chosen replacement for Maduro. X
