But that is no longer possible because of one thing, phone numbers. If you are an adult in any industrialized country after 2010, then you have to have a phone number. It is a new form of ID that is used for EVERYTHING. Opening a bank account? Applying for college? applying for any loan? (student loans, car loans, mortgage), reserving a table at a restaurant? Paying taxes? you need a phone number for anything related to business, or money. Paying taxes is a big one here in the US. Not paying taxes, is one of 3 things that can easily get you a 25+ year prison sentence. So not having a phone is either impractical, impossible, or illegal depending on the context. And here is the catch, every phone can access the internet. even flip-phones. There is no way to keep your daughter from seeing porn, tiktok trends, or the media. The media is a big one, because it teaches her that men are useless/worthless. And that it is ok to disrespect them. In short terms, it is nearly impossible to raise a good daughter. Because that requires no access to the internet. But that is now nealry impossible because your child is basically require to have a phone now by age 12, because middleschools (at least in the US) require the student's phone number.
