Ukraine is gonna give up some territories and sign while euros screech (while yet again doing absolutely fuck all to prevent it by joining the war themselves physically). Bottom line is USA doesn't like the idea of China having an infinite resource base right next door, and so to USA It matters more to lure Russia away and back into a quasi friendship.
