Russia is trying to invent invisibility cloaks. They decided to make properly working invisibility ponchos for now, with some success on a technical level.>https://files.catbox.moe/5d8eox.mp4The problem is - the FPV drones and the FPV operators get better faster than the heat-sinking cloth used in such invisibility ponchos. There were webms and gifs showing Russian servicemen assuming that they were given techno-magical invisibility cloaks, after which they just marched on, in the middle of open spaces. It didn't end well for them. In order to use such invisibility ponchos the user must not only be constantly aware of the blind (hot) spots, but also he must not stare at thermal cameras with his warm face, and ideally he must stay still like a statue if he happened to not be spotted yet by a drone flying above his head. These cloaks can be used only in ambushes, and preferably against unsuspecting targets.Has Ukraine tried to do anything similar so far? Or is it something only Russia tries to pull?
>>522561520Crush up charcoal and mix with petroleum jelly or axel grease cover body in thick paste maybe crisco would work too
>>522561716>petroleum jellyI bet ziggers have tons of vaseline with them at all times. Don't want Akhmad going in dry
>>522561834this is why anons have scripts to hide memeflaggots
>>522561951Cope zigger
>>522562080kek and im supposed to be the fat retarded incel
>>522561716That sounds like a lot of work for the frontline troops tasked to just stay there and remain alive. The point of the "invisibility cloaks" is to hide yourself from a floating thermal camera in a moment's notice. Besides - the solution against the FPV drones must be lightweight, and being covered in petroleum jelly can't be lightweight.

Cost of drone? Billions + eternal interest until inevitable bankruptcy. Amount of Russian land conquered thanks to expensive US/EU drones -50,000 miles.
>>522561520Yer a wizard, Pidor.Why don't they just carry shotguns?
>>522561520I wonder why they didnt check them out beforehand with their own thermal imagers.
>>522561520Anti-thermal ponchos have been here for a bit. They aren't magic and require some considerable forethought to use effectively.
>>522568268They should be for snipers only, and only specially trained snipers.

>>522561520There are "gray hour" one hour after sunset. Its too dark for TV cameras. Thermals work poorly because low delta of temperature. People try to move during this hour. Thermal cloaks are good during this hour because thermals see poorly to begin with. Trying to hide from thermals in the middle of the night is hopeless.
