Also not all of it is clean and it has some problems with corruption. But Malaysia is still pretty good country overall. Ultimately they started off with a system of governance and rule of law handed over from the British, along with some infrastructure built by the British. Then it has a prosperous Han Chinese population, a relatively small minority of pajeets, most of whom are Tamils that were hand picked by the British for their ability to do mid level admin jobs and finally virtually no blacks. Although it is a majority Muslim country Malays are mostly not too fundamentalist.
