Tariffs are effectively a high corporate tax.

- 100% tax on everything above comfortable living, something akin to 4M today, exclude housing
- 0% tax before that
- Ban waging and landlording.
- Limit the government to an always lowering fraction of the GDP, to only keep infrastructure, psychopath management, product and environmental hazard tests and disease insurance.
- Spend the rest of the taxes on entrepreneur funding. 4M times 35M US millionaires times even just one percent is more than one trillion already, so 5% would be needed to feed the current beast system, which would still let the retiree have 10k per month, including inflation reserve.

This replaces corporations with small efficient networks of entrepreneurial partnerships. Everyone who has ever worked with corporations knows they live off brand and economic strongarming and are inefficient as fuck.
Everyone has to take on accountability, and everyone can easily make it, because there are no corporations that hog markets, and no taxes.
It also forces governments to optimize such that more people make it to retirement for longer.

Or just understand economics.
