This is the language Toki Pona. The entire language is in picrel, the grammar in the left half, the vocabulary in the right half. Thoughts?
>>522625869you trust some onions libtard who would be cannibalized like rockefeller in Papua New Guinea to tell you what a language isPay your taxes, whale language intersectional theories dont fund themselves
>>522625869It's a bit like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted, ey.
>>522625869>look at my totally quirky and ambiguous language lol!>swahili mo liko looool!>"The fuck you just call me, bitch?" *smack*
>>522625869Sounds African>Sina>Pimeja>Sama>KalaWho knew you could construct a nigger tongue using Estonian? Estonian best tongue.Slava Eesti!
>>522625869Sounds like a good way to keep people simple and stupid The complexity of your thoughts mirrors the complexity of your language.
>>522625869As a minor language nerd I find it interesting, and an app for it lives on my phone. But I’ll probably never sit down and learn it in the foreseeable future.
>>522626616Why? Nobody said you have to have this as your only language. It's a thought experiment, to see how small you can make a language. And it's a language which doesn't have any subordinate clauses, so using it for a while might give you an appreciation of subordinate clauses and subordinate conjunctions. You can't say "I will buy a sandwich because I'm hungry.", you have to say "I'm hungry. I buy food." or whatever. It's also a game of sorts because you're supposed to string together words to create more specific meanings. So you don't have a word for banana but you can say yellow-stick-fruit or whatever.https://libgen.li/edition.php?id=142221844
>>522626616I love how the English language has so many words. Native speakers don’t realize how great it is with something as simple as looking at something. Did you look, peer, glance, leer, stare, gape, peak? They all mean the same but any native will know what words feels best for the particular action. Reading expands that with so many words that are perfect for just the right meaning, why limit it?
>>522627394Many people today know very little about grammar. Learning a conlang like Toki Pona or Esperanto might be a good way to help people understand grammar. Nobody says you have to have these languages as your only language. Conlangs are to languages what science fiction is to literature, they explore ideas and illustrate concepts. As for semantics, that's one aspect of Toki Pona, it explores how to achieve much with little.>The mark of an educated mind is the ability to entertain a thought without accepting it.
>>522627746I get what you are saying, it doesn’t speak to me very but I can see how someone would find it interesting.
>>522627139>You can't say "I will buy a sandwich because I'm hungry.", you have to say "I'm hungry. I buy food." or whatever.Exactly. You can already do that with English, just loosen a few rules.
>>522625869I think it's the least awful conlang.Esperanto is evil and should be genocided. But Palawa Kani is the worst language of all, it's what Jewish Tasmanians speak. They claim to be aborigines and banned DNA testing.
>>522629213That sounds like bullshit but I believe it
>>522629300Look up palawa kani yourself fuckin lmaoLook up why Christoph Buchel was attacked by the palawa tribe.
>>522629213>Jewish Tasmanians>They claim to be aborigines and banned DNA testing.I have a feeling of deja-vu, but tell me more please, so it can reinforce my antisemitism
>>522629300Here is Christoph Buchel's MONA Tasmania exhibit. Not listed here but they offted a 100k prize for Tasmanian paternal lines.
>>522629106So? It's a mind game, to see what you can accomplish with a language that takes literally a day to learn.
>just add the numbers up and you get the number!>only base numbers are 1, 2, and 5>example given is "5 5 2 1 = 13!"Yeah okay but now what about 100?Luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka luka?
>>522627139Also you have to understand that a lot of languages are already that dumbed down and retarded. The literal translations of languages will make you realize many people already speak like cavemen, and it greatly limits the complexity of their endeavors.
>>522629579You can learn mexican spanish in two.
>>522629450In the long long ago, the year of 1992, Tasmania was a glorious white paradise. The federal government thought we had it too easy, they raised home loan interest into double digits, none of this "2.5%" shit you kids are on. It was like 17% interest in the late 1980s. And yet were were ALL borrowing money. We were investing, making a good future. But worst of all, we were consolidating the land. We were making unspoken agreements, spoken agreements, going "under the federal government's nose" to "squander our resources".Fortunately there was a very simple solution to the threat of all-white land ownership. Since the natives had already died or integrated, a NEW TRIBE had to be comissioned. And comissioned it was. A select number of families were chosen to represent the new tribe, a new language was designed to support the tribe's claims and write a tribal history. It's a huge fuckin rort with 800 "elders" and about 8000 "tribe members". They get full medical and legal insurance at the taxpayer's expense, only the best for our precious abbos. My uncle always yells "WASTE OF A WHITE SKIN" when he spots a palawa.
>>522629579Hell if you already speak English you can learn African pidgin just by hitting yourself in the head with a crowbar a few times
>>522629450So anyway all the land was ceded to the palawa, including hunting and gathering rights.
>>522629583So? You're not supposed to translate Summa Theologica into Toki Pona, it's a mind game.
>>522627394>gape
>>522629709>>522629754thanks. I'll need to look up more of that bs
>>522629811Just like you're not supposed to translate flavours into Swedish.

>>522629709VERY tangential
>>522625869> pronunciation doesn't really matterIt's literally English.
>>522629957Is it though? Your country has Sami, you of all people should know how fake indigenous are created.
>>522625869>Thoughts?jews
>>522625869language doesn't seem to have enough words for normal online discussion
>>522630307Where is the screenshot from? Yeah you're meant to string words together to make them more precisetomo tawa konaircraftliterally "room moving air"tomo tawa teloboatliterally "room moving water"https://tokipona.org/compounds.txt
