Dollar reserve system is slowly ending.
Lots of countries don't like the political dominance the US has on them through the dollar system so they're setting up alternatives. Gold is a historically good alternative. There's going to be a lot of weird shit going on in the coming decades as people figure things out.
>>
>>522634230
>>522634264
This is wrong, dollars are becoming more scarce, there is a liquidity crisis. Assets are overvalued and people aren't willing to fork over their money at current prices. The result is deflation and the dollar getting stronger. Gold goes up because people buy it to hedge against risk in all other assets, it has nothing to do with inflation.
>>

If prices are shit by then I’m fucked but if it holds above 80k I’ll be ok
>>
>>522634230
That is what's basically what's happening. Exchange rates don't determine things like inflation rates, commodity prices and assets prices. The flow of money around the system being altered doesn't have instant effects and you get waves of prices hikes in one area and resulting in drops in another and that causes some company to have a hard time doing business which reduces neees for industrial metals which causes something else and so on. Each stage takes months or even years to play out.

>>
>>522634700
People can ask whatever they want for prices, the real indicator is consumer demand and that fell off a cliff. House prices are already undergoing a crash. Inflation is high because companies need to keep pushing profits so they try getting away with whatever bullshit they can until people stop buying.

>>522635086
What do you think the word overvalued means? It means the price is higher than what people are willing to pay. That causes deflation or stagnation until inflation catches up. Look at the history of gold over the past 100 years, it doesn't go up in response to inflation, it goes up after the inflation has already happened and people get scared of a deflationary event.

To expand on this, inflation is a rise in the cost of living, the things people need to live go up in value because people want/need them more than they need dollars. Gold is the opposite of what you need to live, it does nothing, why would gold ever go up due to inflation?

BINGO
This is the same reason we always go to war, to crush a country who doesnt have a Rothschild controlled FED and implement one and take over their money supply. This puts that country as a debt slave to the Rothschilds forever.

When a country breaks free, or doesnt have a Rothschild controlled FED, the Jews sick their bulldog (Us military) on that country and take it over and give control to the Jews and the Rothschilds implement a FED and take over the money. This is exactly why you always see Iran in the news, Russia in the news, and North Korea in the news. These are the last strongholds that are not under Rothschild control and do not bow down to the US paper dollar.

the present movement in gold and silver prices is a direct reflection of market sentiment concerning the long-term viability of the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency in the face of spiraling debt obligations.

Don't think about it in terms of hard dollar values. Think in terms of Gold:Silver ratio. Historical Gold:Silver ratio is 1:15 so when/if silver ever hits that, the right move is to transfer silver holdings into gold since they cease to be undervalued.

That's before you consider that gold itself is also undervalued. You're correct that historical ratio put gold market cap at about 2 to 3 x the SP500, where today it's about 0.5 so if it returns even to 1.0 that means gold is undervalued by at least half.

>Have you seen how much $ Americans have spent in stores and on-line shopping the past 4 +days? It's record setting.

You are looking at it wrong
Everything is more expensive this year, even more so than last year.

Example: last year you could buy stuff for $1.25 and this year its $1.75. This means its about 40% higher. So if people want "that thing" they have to spend about 40% higher this year to get it versus last year.
To spread it out a little further with bigger numbers that are easier to see lets say all your presents last year equaled $1000. You were able to buy everything you needed for all your friends and family for right at $1000 and this year those same presents would equal $1400. This equates to a 40% increase and rather than show it for what it is, the media runs with it a different way.

Instead of saying
>record prices at the checkout counter drains consumers wallets worse than last christmas
The media flips it into
>consumers spend record amounts at checkout counters this christmas

They do this with so much. Movies are another, "record breaking box office numbers" meanwhile prices are higher than ever and there are more people in the world generally so of course records keep being broken. It's all part of the conspiracy to make inflation seem normal, it's not, there should be no monetary inflation beyond the actual population growth it's just theft. Nice buzzword salad. Care to explain what "debt obligations," presumably meaning the national debt, have to do with the viability of the dollar as a reserve currency? Note that 75% of the national debt is domestic. And what would really threaten the dollar is its inflation outpacing that of other leading currencies. There is no system for monetizing the debt in the US so inflation could only be used as a tool to keep interest payments low. We just had some of the highest inflation in US history and that of course did nothing to the dollar as a reserve currency. No one is going to be paying for their beers with gold nuggets lil bro.

I do insurance claims work for a contractor. I have done this for 15+ years. Never in the 15 years I have been doing this have I met this level of resistance to paying a claim. I have one where the insurance company outright refused to pay a binding appraisal award for a claim THAT WAS ALREADY IN A LAWSUIT. Not for even a valid reason like fraud or policy exclusions, just "lol no". Normally you only see this sort of behavior after a big weather event drains their reserves, and it's localized to that particular area or state. But this is a national thing. Everyone I know that works on the contractor or insurance end is bitching HARD about it. It was not even this bad in 2008 from what I hear, a

I am aware of this, but that is not the case in commercial property claims (yet). My claims are all parades of engineering firms that make shit up to deny claims or building consultants to do the same or attempt to mitigate their loss exposure. They are DEFINITELY using "AI" to deny residential property claims for specific weather events (primarily wind and hail). They are also using this for underwriting purposes. The only thing I do thank God for is that my claims are too large and prone to litigate to not put this in the hands of real life faggot working directly for the carrier.
>>
>>522651809
When it Happens again you will do a flip whilst I eat steak and watch your body do a dead cat bounce.
>>
>>522648476
Fuck, I didn't read your article. It's not this, it's them using AI to deny claims. There has also been a considerable consolidation on the insurance-hired forensic consultant end in order to get the price of engineering investigations down from 3-5k per loss to 1-2k.
>You have a hailstorm
>Call let's say Allstate
>Allstate's now automated system cross checks Verisk Analytics or CoreLogics bullshit weather event database with your claim date
>"Our AI says there is nothing wrong with your house, lol fuck you" without ever sending an actual person to your house to verify
>Policyholder with the now fucked up house obviously disagrees
>"Oh, okay... you're next inspection is with a Donan Engineering...and lol if they are going to do anything but back out bullshit"
>This takes literal months
>Meanwhile, your house is still fucked up
>Now on top of paying out of pocket to mitigate the damages (or even replace the damaged items because the damage is so bad), you have to hire a public adjuster, a forensic engineer of your own, possibly a code/building consultant, and a meteorologist to fight their decision
>If you don't take steps to mitigate the damage yourself while they fuck you, they can put in other holes because you're in breach of the policy
>Your policy is written by the same faggot company that provided the estimating software and AI bullshit your insurance carrier is using to fuck you
You would be really, really fucking surprised at how little your insurance company actually does besides collect money and fuck with you in order to hold onto it. This has always been the case, but on a vastly smaller scale. What was maybe 10% of my claims is now well over 70%. If you file a commercial property claim, you are now 6+ months from getting ANY money from your insurance carrier, and that's IF they accept responsibility under the policy.

AI isn't all one thing though. It will replace a lot of lawyers, accountants, even doctors. Only technicians are necessary to run the robotics.
The big thing Hal talks about is probably just hoopla to get more men into the trades.
Students of all ages using AI to write papers dooms them anyways. 18% of college freshmen this year could NOT do 1st grade arithmetic. It's a total loss.
But using AI to process claims, that's crazy. No one will risk the litigation for this.
>>
>>522628064
Silver should be 50k gold should be bitcoin
>>
>>522652925
Nothing will ever replace the gumshoe.
Adjusters just have to investigate. The can use a damn Excel spread sheet or catalog of part to come up with the cost to reimburse.
Insurance is a scam.
And who's programming the AI too?
>paying out of pocket to mitigate the damages
Oh sure, that will wind up in court too. Whose adjuster wins? Some states will always only side with the underdog, the poor shmuck homeowner. NOT the insurance company. Now they'll get their revenge.
t.some experience with adjusters
>>
>>522654120
The entire point is the adjuster does absolutely nothing to actually investigate. They don't make the coverage decisions. They don't do the loss investigation. They literally just take phone calls on my claims and hire engineers. What's hilarious is, Xactimate IS basically just a fancy Excel spreadsheet. Verisk Analytics is programming the AI (Verisk Respond), providing the weather verification data (Benchmark Services, a division of Verisk Analytics), writing the policy (Insurance Services Office, a division of Verisk Analytics), and provide the loss estimation software (Xactware, a division of fucking guess who). I always win because they forensic engineers are full of shit, but they can GREATLY extend the time they don't have to pay by dragging you through all this bullshit. Most policyholders see an engineer report and automatically assume their insurance company is right and do not pursue it further. Even those that do, an even smaller percentage actually involve their rights under the police and sue. Your jurisdiction argument only apply to courts in certain jurisdictions, which is why our attorney files in their home state and purposely chooses a hostile to carrier jurisdiction to file in. They won't stop this shit until they get an AI denial case that goes all the distance (i.e. to trial). Despite putting up all the obstacles they possibly can to avoid payment, they generally settle when they know an actual trial is imminent because no insurance carrier wants case law that supports a Bad Faith violation under the FCPA.

I don't even write Xactimates now because then it becomes about line items instead of the policy contract. The strategy I use now is just an incurred cost contract and ram it up their ass. Being reasonable in attempts to settle haven't worked for a couple years now, so ultra aggressive is the only way to work them now.

And to further add, these are all Large Loss General Adjusters that work for the actual carrier. I get some IA's from Crawford or Engle-Martin, but not many. It doesn't really matter because most of these are outside their authority limits and need to be escalated to a unit manager. I've got two now on the same building with SIU attached because it's a multimillion dollar vandalism claim over 3 separate incidents.

?
>>
>>522658176
Not only it's priced so high, but it also keeps increasing in price by doing absolutely nothing.
You know why?
Because all businesses aim to make everything worse, leading to poverty. Just by maintaining stuff at the same quality level is making you richer compared to everyone else. Gold/Silver are basically immutable, they do nothing, they stay the same, so their value is going up relative to all the things which are becoming worse.

Actually, silver does do something.
It's strategic for a reason.
Necessary in too many computerized and mechanical things.
Which we could probably do without, but scarcity builds wealth and some people crave that.

It's a monetary metal. Also known as simply 'money' (constitutional money, historical money). Paper fiat or digital fiat aka the dollars in your bank account or in your wallet is not "real" money, it's an IOU - a debt note. It used to represent a claim against money, back when there was a gold standard, and you could redeem your paper note for its gold representation.

Not anymore. Now it's just a claim purely against confidence in government, which is eroding quickly.

So if I reframe your question, you have the answer:

> Can someone explain to me why gold, which is a actual money, is priced so high against government confidence backed paper IOUs?

And my response would be, gold currently isn't priced very high - it's priced much lower than it should be.

>>522658095
The entire point of my posts is that this is something that isn't just limited to shitty carriers. It used to be a few carries like AmFam and AllState that always sucked. Some alternate between being faggots about everything and paying claims with little resistance like State Farm. But now it's industry wide and happening everywhere. This shit usually happens, but only after something crazy happens and they have to pay out billions of dollars (like in Colorado in 2018). Now, any claim of substance gets a fuck you and absolute maximum resistance.
