>nvidia will start selling gpus without memories, they want users to pay for their own now because they can't make as much cash if they give the vrams out for ""free""
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zVc4Ke6yDo
looks like the market crash incoming

Steve from Gamers Nexus is such a faggot grifter

Baby bro, you will get shit and like it.

Why?

>>522628145
cope-tier reasoning, gonna see modular vram in gpu? kek.

I hope the bubble pop and crash the tech world back to stone age
>>
>>522628599
That'd be kinda sick really
Upgrade your gddr halfway through the life of your card
Less soldered on memory

>market crash any minute now
2 weeks or whatever

He steers clear of political involvement and certain subjects, especially when it concerns China. They also steer people towards certain companies, saying they are not being funded by them, but appearing to be funded by them.
It is a business for him and multiple other people, they do these videos to make money, they will always cover current hot topic subject.
I am still uncertain of his true nature
>>522628599
modular vram up to a certain size, per level of the gpu seems to be a potential good practice. 8gb vram changeable to 24gb vram on the same card? I would buy that. More than likely it will be tiered by the max vram you could put on the board. Imagine a 6090 that comes with 64gb being upgradeable to 128gb. power usage would be the limiting factor, hence still keeping it in tiers like they have now.
>>
>>522628740
the tech world is literally just spying on everyone and selling their data to people who want to sell them shit they can't afford. this is going to be a really fucking hard crash.
>>
>>522629138
now imagine if AMD was smart enough to put DIMM sockets on their gpu boards
>inb4 it's not fast enough
that's why you do bank switching and multiplexing

This guy does the best tech reviews

WTF is up with ram pricing? Why is it going up?
>>
>>522628209
Wtf are you talking about?
Their reviews and comparison data is unmatched imo.
Used their views to decide on my AIO CPU cooler
I also like that he calls out industry bullshit
>>
>>522628145
>memory prices fucking sextuple in a week
Jesus Christ, 64Gb is $1200 now
>>
>>522629646
Use your brain for a second. RAM is up because of companies hoarding it for data centers.
Microsoft admitted they have warehouses full of RAM they aren't even using in case a data center becomes available.
>>
>>522629966
But cpu ram isn't really needed for AI data centers

But if your right, this problem isn't going away any time soon
>>
>>522629890
Kek, I'm so glad I installed 128gb before all this madness
>>
>>522628145
good thing gpus peaked a decade ago and you might just as well buy a 1090 for a 100$ and use it until the end of time
>>
>>522628145
Not users, the MSIs and ASUS' will be supplying the memory you dumb mutt.
>>
>>522628145
Huh? So will the cards come with empty vram slots or what?
>>
>>522630684
Ah ok that's also what I thought.
>>
>>522629138
Just gonna play devil's advocate a bit here
>He steers clear of political involvement and certain subjects especially when it concerns China
I would say that's generally a good thing because he's just a tech guy but I'm guessing you mean he doesn't address US defense interests and general geopolitics that go into who's funding what? If that's what you mean I get what you're saying, though I wonder if he's just too focused on the consumer side to give a proper analysis of geopolitics.
>They also steer people towards certain companies, saying they are not being funded by them, but appearing to be funded by them.
I see him shitting on obviously bad practices and products no matter the company, and gently recommending products that he believes are good whole disclosing sponsorships, but I don't see how that's outside the scope of what a reviewer should do. He can't hate every product ever obviously. Are there examples of him advocating for something that's actually shit?
>It is a business for him and multiple other people, they do these videos to make money, they will always cover current hot topic subject.
Sure, that's modern journalism in a nutshell, but I don't see what wrong with covering hot topic issues so long as you're honest in your investigation.
>I am still uncertain of his true nature
It's fine to be skeptical, I just want to see examples of where he was blatantly in the wrong. Maybe my bar for journalism has just been lowered due to mainstream journalism being disgustingly evil, but he doesn't seem to be that bad or a grifter.
>>
>>522630717
yes
or they will do the laptop style ram link to your actual ram, so your "64gb ram" is going to need to be split to run gpu as well
>>
>>522628145
Wait you do use AMD?
LMAO
>>
>>522628145
not users retard
board partners
if we could install our own VRAM it wouldve been a massive consumer win
>>
>>522630684
Which means graphics cards are going to become even more expensive. The games industry is going to see a massive crash in about 5 years due to everyone being priced out.
The games industry is also the biggest media industry in the world now. Time it with an AI bubble pop and we're about to see some shit.
>>
>>522630541
there never was a 1090
you're thinking of the titan Xp and i doubt it hit 100 bucks
>>
>>522630717
no OP is retarded
instead of NVIDIA sourcing the VRAM for the board partners, now they'll have to source it on their own
because their buying power is worse it will increase prices
>>522633090
that would actually be beneficial retard
then you could get massive amounts of vram on consumer cards
but it won't happen
low iq retard
>>
>>522629154
Yeah. This is why they brought women into jewish daycare jobs. All of their money goes straight back to the corporate slop/data complex, which eventually further fine tunes the algorithm to sell them more slop and travel ideas. Eventually Amazon will move into selling coffins

Any kind of interconnect will be slower than onboard, to overcome they will need to increase voltages and thus power consumption and heat. The contradiction to this is lower speed ram. Now your next gen gpu will have the same speed of ram as last gen gpus but can address more ram. This is similar to the change from SIMM to DIMM. First gen DIMMs were slower than SIMM but allowed you to address more than 4MB RAM. DDR2 to DDR3 was similar. DDR2 capped at 64gb while DDR3 allowed 784GB at speeds slower than DDR2. Either way it’s just a way for them to take more money from you with the illusion you are getting choice
>>
Nvidia doesn't make their money by selling consumer GPUs.
Their valuation and market position is entirely based on AI.
>>
>>522633963
Everyone is being priced out of everything. That's what 2030 is about.
>>
>>522628145
Nvidia is the worst company in history of companies, possibly ever, they don't even MAKE GPUs, they just fucking design them
>>
>>522628145
I´ll wait for the crash, I´ll survive with 16gb of ddr4 for another year.

ddr4 rose in price too.
