That's pretty shocking to hear. I figured Koreans of all people would have an easier time learning English because their language has an alphabet. It's probably the grammar that fucks them, it's not something you can explain logically, you have to just familiarize yourself and make it second nature with daily usage. The pratfall of having so many loanwords and turns of phrase.

Most native English speakers couldn't excel on that Korean English exam.

They aren't taking an ESL type exam. It is crazy hard.

English grammar is simple though. It's much less complex than most of the world's languages. The only challenging aspects of English are spelling and pronunciation.

>The latter, worth three points, asks students to pick where a sentence should fit in a given paragraph. Here's the sentence in bold, followed by the paragraph:

The difference is that the action in the game world can only be explored through the virtual bodily space of the avatar.

A video game has its own model of reality, internal to itself and separate from the player's external reality, the player's bodily space and the avatar's bodily space. (1) The avatar's bodily space, the potential actions of the avatar in the game world, is the only way in which the reality of the external reality of the game world can be perceived. (2) As in the real world, perception requires action. (3) Players extend their perceptual field into the game, encompassing the available actions of the avatar. (4) The feedback loop of perception and action that enables you to navigate the world around you is now one step removed: instead of perceiving primarily through interaction of your own body with the external world, you're perceiving the game world through interaction of the avatar. (5) The entire perceptual system has been extended into the game world.

It's not that they can't read English, it's that the question is complete nonsense.

Koreans are circumcised.

It's total bullshit, but it isn't that difficult. The correct answer is 3. It's the only part of the paragraph where that sentence makes sense.

It used to be easier to learn english for people because Americans made great movies one after another, now it's harder because every movie company is bought and only makes movies about being a jeet and faggotry.

Chatgpt 5.2 says the answer is 1. -10 points. I also had it locate the Korean test to ensure that its answer was correct.

I would fail whoever wrote this absolute word salad of a paragraph in the first place.
I read fucking theological and philisophical texts and they are more approachable than this

>I figured Koreans of all people would have an easier time learning English because their language has an alphabet.
Lol not really. slants are still struggling with English.
Did my exchange student at Japan last decade ago, met bunch of chinks & gooks enrolled at japanese universities there (as regular students), they have easier time mastering Japanese.

First, Korean alphabets aren't really like the same alphabets like Latin. And just like Chinese, Japanese (also Vietnamese), these languages are basically alien & unrelated to any European language at all, thus more study time to be fluent. For average comparison, a native English user on average needs around two years to be proficient in Japanese while it takes less than a year to fluent in Dutch or German
Second, Schooling in East Asia doesn't really invest much in foreign language, practically not much time to teach them in mandatory school.
Third, the reason those exams are very difficult is because enrolling at prestigious national universities is extremely competitive (basically, not perfect score = fail). Single enrollment place at the toppest college is competed by tens of thousands of applicants. Thus, exams are made harder & harder to only filter the best based on the grades alone (which i disagree). Ironically, enrolling at universities abroad is much less dreadfully competitive and could pass it easily if they met the language requirement

I had a conversation like this outside Mapco with a guy I call Count Twackula.

This is a great approach for detecting existence of adaptative mechanisms for coping with chronic difficulties with concentration.
IDK what it implies for gooks, or about their perception of the West.

It's probably not that it's English but because it's yet another exam. Koreans are already killing themselves because all they do is study for 20 hours a day. Asian boomers are literally killing their children with insane education standards.
