4chan's culture has always been deeply rooted in the opinion against disingenuous performative behavior, especially when done for undeserved attention. It is in the life blood of being a member of a majority-anonymous community. This has passively made the people here a long-time enemy and cohesive group from the perspective of lying news media and manipulative deceitful individuals. I will not conform for any reason, be it for the needs of the many or the security of myself, but being here gives me the same sense of being in a community of like-minded individuals without the feeling that I have to be like anyone else here. No matter what I do I'm judged completely by the content of what I provide, and I can make some community joke that gets used for years, I can make an insightful post that many regard as incredibly based, while in another thread be called a retarded newfag for disliking something that guy likes, or I'll say something completely retarded and get embarrassed in the drome of debate. I'm a complete nobody here after 20-odd years of active participation and lurking. Because of this, I will never have a true ideology or loyalty to any group or government body, and I cannot find any genuine nature in backing a political cause. It's all just bullshit stuff a bunch of old and decrepit faggots are trying to do to get laid. That's the only reason people want to be rich, is to keep getting laid until they die. Or attention. They want praise and universal agreeance with all their taste to a highly analytical level. I'm afforded a lot of shit I don't need to survive by society, but on my own I've lived in the woods for five years no problem. The best board on this site is /out/ and always will be, it helped cultivate my independence, which is what anything good in life will do for you. A society does not help you become independent, in many ways by a death from a thousand cuts it bleeds away every single luxury it affords you until you die with less that you had been born with for free.
