The model is doomed from the start as it’s nothing but extremely energy-intensive pattern recognition - patterns in organic human writing/speech at that. This is not how cognition works. You have these uncultured ketamine addicts who think they can more or less program a god into being, and billions of mouth breathers who are so heckin’ impressed with AI writing them a cake recipe that they rely on it for everything. Sad, disturbing times.

You don’t see big companies like Apple over extending themselves in investing in AI because they think it will lead to an AI singularity and replace the entire labor force. This technology is never going to evolve to do that and many of the elite investors who think it will are indifferent to the suffering such a scenario will cause and would think they would be unaffected or possibly even cull us.
