The Golden Age of America is here!

>In a statement Thursday, the companies said the deal combines Trump Media’s “access to significant capital” and TAE’s “leading fusion technology” to supply power for AI technology.

>Next year, the combined company will begin construction on a 50-megawatt utility-scale fusion power plant, the companies said. The companies plan to build additional fusion power plants to supply 350 to 500 megawatts.

>Shares in Trump Media, which is the parent company of Truth Social, rose 27% in premarket trading.

>Founded in 1998, TAE Technologies is one of the world’s oldest private fusion ventures, backed by Google parent Alphabet, Chevron, Goldman Sachs and several family offices. The Southern California firm aims to create almost limitless energy through nuclear fusion, a process which uses a controlled-fusion reaction to generate energy.

>In 2022, a long-awaited physics breakthrough by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory boosted the fusion industry, including TAE Technologies. At the time, a controlled fusion reaction produced more energy than it consumed by using lasers to create conditions that cause hydrogen atoms to fuse and release vast amounts of energy.

>In 2026, the combined company plans to find a site and begin construction on a power plant that today’s announcement calls “the world’s first utility-scale fusion” plant. Plans call for it to produce 50 megawatts of electric power and would be subject to required approvals.

>Additional fusion power plants are planned and would produce between 350 and 500 megawatts of energy.

Anon, you don't understand.

>Males $19 billion

They are not claiming it will be operational by next year. They are starting construction. I think their timeline is for limited operations by mid 2030s

>fusion power by mid 2030
still a scam. make a working prototype with a positive energy factor before promising something that isn't possible even on paper.

>its fuckmothering real

I'm guessing Trump got wind of how much energy this AI shit will take to run and wanted in on a deal.
TAE has a shot, a slim one but they have progress, at getting power to the grid. If Trump was smart he's put his money behind Commonwealth Fusion, they are already starting their second reactor.

It'll get shut down or delayed indefinitely by a combination of lesbian environmentalists and a black female judge. Screencap this.

Energy technology has been suppressed for over a century. You really think nazi scientists haven't come up with something better than jet engines in all this time?
>>
>>523852736
The point of fusion is that it's clean and renewable. Environmentalists are pro-fusion dumbass.

>>523848690
Remember when Jimmy carter had to sell his peanut farm because it might be perceived as a conflict of interest that the president owned a for-profit peanut farm and he might use his power to adopt policies that benefited peanut farmers?

This also comes after six months of DOGE freezing and cutting funding for fusion research. PPPL had to fire 20% of its research, engineering, and technical staff, DIIID is rumored to have laid off 10-15% of its staff, NIF says it could get hit by layoffs next fiscal year, dozens of graduate plasma physics programs had to cut support for current and new students, subsidies for energy research that fusion startups were capitalizing on were axed, etc.

And now that the US fusion industry is completely tanked, in come Trump and Elon suddenly changing their tune about how it's a worthwhile investment... as long as they alone own it.
