The vast majority of people who talk about propaganda are literal idiots and the kind of people who are the most likely to fall for propaganda. Like OP who thinks propaganda is literal magic and you just get hypnotized watching a screen. To stupid people anything that isn't simple is magic. On one hand it's incomprehensible magic, but on the other hand it's overly simplified so all the people are in on it and all of them are doing it.The truth is that people who have a platform just tell you what they believe or what they want you to believe and that's it. If Elon Musk thinks his company is good he will say so and if he wants to see the stocks go up and sell more product, he will say it's good. If people want to push a different reality they'll just lie to you. That's basically all propaganda boils down to.I don't think these people even understand.
