People should test these energies to find out what would be feasible. Tldr:-- there are 2 potential shooting locations-- the 556 at point blank carries 1200-1400 ft*lbs-- the .30-06 at point blank carries 2700-3100, about 2.2x greater-- the 30-06 at 142 yards carries anywhere between 1900 and 2700. There are a few strange specialty rounds that go down as low as 1300.-- the 30-06 at 187 yards carries anywhere from 1700 and 2500. Those same speciality rounds go as low as 1200Unless we're talking about those specialty rounds, the lowest energy he could have been shot with is 30%-50% greater than a standard 556 shot. People believe the 556 shot is possible, so would an energy 50% greater be?
