https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce3wd2yv7vyo> The men were found to have dishonestly acquired tickets for Liverpool games and sold them at inflated prices using secondary ticket websites, before creating their own called Seatfinder UK.so when they do it with PC components or consoles - it is a legitimate business (have never seen a scalper jailed), but when they do with tickets - it's somehow a scam?
>conspiracy to commit fraud>causing no loss to Liverpool FC>nor to anyone else because they all got the tickets delivered that they paid forSo where is the fraud? It just looks like a clever arbitrage to me.
Apparently for this particular venue or event or whatever you have to submit proof that you live in the area and/or are part of a recognized fan club in order to get the good prices. IDK if any other business works that way, maybe at a stretch you could say the latter is like Costco?
>>523898451From the article it seems Liverpool FC has batches of £9 tickets available for local residents. It's alleged that instead of locals buying them, the 'fraudsters' bought them instead to then sell them on at a mark up. That's not fraud, but incompetence from Liverpool FC.
