We laugh about how China cant into EUV (if we ignore the news about their latest breakthrough), and how without Taiwan they will be stuck at 14nm forever, but the reality is rather that the EU and US have ZERO operational sub 10 nanometer chips fabrication capabilities.

And even if, it's not even completely domestic and relies on dozen of companies and countries to make chips. China, on the other hand, is completely isolated, but is capable of producing mature nodes and 5nm chips with low yields completely at home, even if a war happened tomorrow

How come?

And not to mention; all of these South Korean and Taiwanese fabs are within range of 1000s of Chinese missiles.

If anything, the West is absolutely fucked in case of war.
