You got to play to win
just buy a scratch-off, better odds.
>>523911849>oddsYes, the odds of winning are better, but the payout is much, much lower. The expected value of a Powerball ticket with an enormous pot is higher than a scratch off.
>page threeAm I really the only dumbass who buys lottery tickets?
>>523912133have you ever been hit by lightning? or had a vending machine fall on you?you're more likely to have 2 vending machines fall on you in a year than to win the poweballnormies are fucking funny with how bad their understanding of reality is
>>523912186>Am I really the only dumbass who buys lottery tickets?Probably.Burning money has a higher return on investment in terms of entertainment and value.
>>523912217You didn’t read the OP>>523912255It’s $2. How poor are you?
>>523912133At some point, it just doesn't matter how much larger the jackpot is. What will you do with a billion that you wouldn't do with a quarter of a billion? Both amounts will change your life to such a large degree that the difference between either of the jackpots and your current life is inconsequential.
>>523911762The lottery is fake. Tens of thousands of people win top prizes annually. Over 20 years that a significant amount.Statistically you should know somebody who has one the lottery if you know more than 100 people. And you should come across them in life frequently.Put it this way. When people win money in stocks they brag. They flaunt. They post. It's human nature. But every lottery winner decides to be "anonymous" for reasons we are told...to keep away con artists allegedly (uhh just tell them to fuck off?)Think through this carefully. There is no way the lottery is real. People win billions and you never hear from them again. S picture of a big check is handed over and you never see them again. It's fake folks. Your money probably goes elsewhere
I spend 5200,- a year on gambling, I don't care it's not money I need, on the off chance I win I'll buy another yacht. Get fucked poorfags.
>>523912217now calculate the odds if i play the lottery all the time and i'm never near vending machines
>>523912573I don’t know people that regularly play the lottery. So there’s a problem with your logic right there.
>>523912186Powerball you're supposed to buy the tickets with like 50 people. Do you not understand that? Wtf would you do with 300 million anyways? You couldnt spend 300 million if you wanted to. You're supposed to buy like 1,000 tickets with 50 people. Otherwise you're supposed to play scratch off.
>>523912217I've actually had a vending machine fall on me when I was restocking it.
>>523912778Every single time I go to a gas station there is atleast one person buying a scratcher. It doesn't matter what time of day or night either.
>>523911762i only play when the jackpot is big enough to make the news so yes i have my one (1) ticket
>>523912427Expected Value (EV) is a simple mathematic equation used by gambles to determine when to buy in/place a bet (or bet higher). It can be seen as the expected return on a net, though obviously not in literal terms.EV = (odds x winning amount) - buy in(1/292,201,338 x $600,000,000) - $2 = $0.05That’s considered a positive EV. As the pot grows higher, the expected value is higher. It’s not different than something like blackjack. After enough lower value cards have been dealt, and more face cards remain, the EV of every hand is higher. You’re right that $600 million won’t change someone’s life much more than, say, $70 million. But from a mathematic standpoint, when the pot reaches a certain amount (around $600 million), the payout amount is worth the buy in.In other words, I can’t lose!
>>523912573I know two people who've won the lottery. My cousin won a small one, 23grand I think. A friend of a friend who runs a brewery won $1 million. Neither of them bragged about it.
I'll be getting a dozen or so.
>>523912573Also this lolI’m probably being duped but I’m too stupid to care
>>523912573>if you know more than 100I know like 10 people dawg and non of them play the lottery
>>523913034you should never tell anyone you've won the lottery
>>523912217Don't self own, it's 2 bucksJust how poor are you that your distorted view of reality has to plan down payments for 4 dollar debts?
>>523912217I'm not going to have either of those happen to me because I never put myself in a situation where they can happen, that's not the same thing
>>523912573why would the state fake lotteries when it's literally free money for them if they do it legitimately?
Only real lottery winners are the state and lottery organisers.
>>523912217You can't win if you don't play.
>>523913080I tell everyone to start buying em once it hits a billionThe fucking year lump sum option- not the correct choice I know- would start at 20 mil. That's nuts.
>>523913216Because they get even more if they cheat. Have you never read about the Jews?
>>523911762>win a billion>forced to pay half in taxes>try to save other half>tax season comes>get taxed on your net half>get taxed every successive year until its below $100kEither spend it on real assets as soon as you get it, with enough retained to cover the tax or invest literally all of it. You'll fuck yourself if you don't.
>>523912217>how bad their understanding of reality issomebody is gonna wincan't win if you don't play
>>523912133when you buy it how does that work? can it be bought online? is the number random or is there a set number of numbers? like if I buy 12, is it possible for 2 of them to be the same number? or does the system blacklist already used numbers to prevent collision?
>>523913362>every successive year until its below $100kThey dont get to tax wealth
>>523913245Sure you can. Read the post above yours.
>>523913362Anon, you get taxed one (1) time one the winnings. It’s taxed as income by the federal government at 37%. Most states tax it as income as well (a few don’t, having specific gambling taxes). After that, it sits in a bank. It isn’t taxed again because it’s not income.
>>523913362???Only if leftists get their wealth tax would anyone pay taxes on unrealized gains. That's why you just buy 25% real estate, 25% gold, 25% stocks, 25% feed and seed
>>523913216I'm open to conspiracy theories. I think many, perhaps most, lotteries are legitimate, because I personally know a couple winners. The most I've won in a day at a gambling website was around $1800.BUT I also think that fake lotteries may be used by certain states/countries to launder money to jobless troublemaker activists and for bribes to powerful people that can't look like bribes.Sort of like how Hunter Biden could sell his stupid paintings for disgusting amounts of cash, sales of which coincidentally ended when his father was no longer president. Sort of how there's an guild of socialist/leftist/kike lawyers who defend leftist rioters pro-bono. An actual conspiracy. Why wouldn't it happen through the lottery, a prime example of vice and degeneracy? The mcdonalds monopoly stamp thing a few decades ago was completely fake, the people actually printing the little stamps kept all the winning pieces for themselves and their friends.
>>523913312yes but if it ever were revealed all that would go away
>>523911762if you dont play you cannot win
>>523912881>you gotta buy it in groups!Powerball propaganda
>>523913636>The mcdonalds monopoly stamp thing a few decades agothey did that again a few weeks ago lol
20 people is the absolute minimum to play the Powerball with. If you cannot find 20 people to pool your tickets with then you're supposed to play scratch off. The current winnings after taxes is 340 million. You literally cannot spend that by yourself. You're not supposed to play Powerball by yourself. If you buy 1,000 tickets with the added $1 advantage power play then they're $3 a ticket which is $150 per person. The winnings after taxes is 17 million per person. If just one ticket wins just a million then you each get $12,500 after taxes. You are not supposed to play Powerball alone.
>>523911762You need to buy the $3 one for a chance at the big jackpot shit for Brian's
>>523913034>>523912778Doesn't matter. Tens of thousands of significant prizes are paid out on an annual basis to people. Over 20 years. Thats millions. The adult population of this nation is less than 300 million. You should theoretically come across lottery winners very often in your social life
>>523911762One day I will win the lottery, I can feel it
>>523911762>Yes, I will be retardedThis is why everything is broken.
>>523911762just put it on a shitcoin or something better math
>>523913142And this is urban legend glowie fed bullshit to explain why we don't see lottery winners around us.
>>523912977This. Playing regularly and dropping hundreds of dollars a weak and claiming you have a fucking “system” is dumb, but dropping two bucks once or twice a year is whatever.
>>523913473>can it be bought online? No. You have to be 21 to gamble. Some states have vending machines but I’ve never used them. My state is in person, cash only.>is the number random or is there a set number of numbers? like if I buy 12, is it possible for 2 of them to be the same number? or does the system blacklist already used numbers to prevent collision? The numbers generated on lottery tickets are totally random. You could theoretically end up with the same numbers if you bought multiple tickets, the odds being of that being the same odds as actually winning (1 in 292,201,338). Two people can win the jackpot with separate tickets, living in separate states. It’s happened before.
>>523912376>>523911762>>523912133>>523912644It’s rigged you moron your chance of winning is zero. They rig financial markets you think they won’t rig the lottery when it’s so much easier to do it.
>>523913855No its the exact opposite. $3 increases your chances to win a million dollars etc.
>>523913620>it sits in a bankuntil some jew leverage trades it all away in a bear market
