Is alcohol a scam? If so, who is it targeted at?
>>

Retards.

Generally?
No.
But the price charged for any drink at a bar/restaurant is patently absurd.

the scam is the amount of tax thats on it. alcohol itself is very honest and does exactly what it says on the tin

It’s an addictive vice
So it depends. If you want to get intoxicated you’ll get exactly that- not a scam but something worse if you can’t control yourself

This is the reason why I always get drunk at home, before I drive to the restaurant.
Don't want me to do it that way?
Then don't make me show my driver's license in order to buy alcohol.

nobody at the time tried to make alcohol a luxury thing, now there is a whole economy around expensive and trendy drink/bottles, also a gram joint in the us is so much cheaper than a drink

Is the legal argument that the restaurant shouldn't have let you leave the building while intoxicated, given that they were aware of you planing to drive?

Alcohol is a mild anesthetic, it helps me with physical pain and downgrade my mind to the level of the societies intellectuals so I have something to relate to.

It depends.
Alcohol has the ability to absorb and store so much flavor it is unrivaled by anything else we know. This is why a bottle of whisky distilled from nothing but fermented barley and matured in empty oak barrel for 10 years can have such complex and varied taste that you can find stuff like cigarettes, chocolate, sea salt, all kinds of possible fruits, cheese, candies, you name it. Literally almost anything is possible. And it all comes from just water and barley. It is really almost magical. It is also very batchy by nature, so no two barrels can ever taste 100% the same. And it is also kind of volatile so it changes over time both in the bottle and in the glass after opening and beginning to oxidize.
Getting drunk is simply an unavoidable by product. Whisky doesn't even taste that complex after a few glasses, because you get too drunk and it dulls your senses.

That being said most alcohol is marketed at complete opposite: Hey look, this is the SMOOTHEST vodka!! Hey look, this tastes just like lemonade!
Hey, are you a tough guy? Can you down a whole can of beer on one sip? Can you slam down a whole shot of whiskey straight down your throat (so that you don't taste anything at all) and feel the burn like a man?
Simply put: Most people don't drink alcohol for the right reason, they don't appreciate the taste at all. They try to actually minimize the taste.
They appreciate bewerages where there is "no taste of alcohol" when in reality the alcohol itself is exactly where the TASTE is stored. It is stored in the ethanol that has absorbed it from the content of the mash and wood of the barrel. The less there is alcohol, more there is simply dilutant, aka water. Less alcohol = less taste.

Drinking alcohol is very fun, rewarding and tasty. Getting drunk alone is usually dumb. Sometimes with friends its relaxing and fun.

The alcohol isn't, but the Tax on it is.

Constitutor: In the civil law, one who, by simple agreement, becomes responsible for the payment of another's debt. Black’s Law Dictionary 6th Ed. The States were now liable for the debt owed to the King, but the people of America were not because they were not a party to the Constitution because it was never put to them for a vote. On August 4th, 1790 an Act was passed which was Titled - An Act making provision for the payment of the Debt of the United States.

This can be found at 1 U.S. Statutes at Large pages 138-178. This Act for all intents and purposes abolished the States and Created the Districts.

Now the creditors of the United States, which included the King, wanted, paid the Interest on the loans that were given to the United States. So Alexander Hamilton came up with the great idea of taxing alcohol. And still, this is the only reason that tax is hidden that way.

The people resisted so George Washington sent out the militia to collect the tax, which they did. This is now known as the Whiskey rebellion. It is the Militia's duty to collect taxes. How did the United States collect taxes from the people if the people are not a party to the Constitution? I'll tell you how. The people are slaves! The United States belongs to the floundering fathers and their posterity and Great Britain. America is nothing more than a Plantation. It always has been. How many times have you seen someone in court attempt to use the Constitution and then the Judge tells him he can't. It is because you are not a party to it.

***Padelford, Fay & Co. vs. The Mayor & Aldermen of the City of Savannah. 14 Georgia 438, 520 which states "But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution, the Constitution, it is true, is a compact but he is not a party to it."
