Is it low T from all the gooning?

politically
>>
They are, it just takes less time when all you need is a 10min youtube video guide.
>>

You can't handle the answer.
Boomers lived in a land of plenty and never needed to repair their own shit or sew clothes because new and better shit was always available.
As such, they never taught their kids how to repair their own shit.
But now we're in an age where new products are worse than the old instead of better, and there's an entire generation of people who have no idea that you can replace your smarphone battery.
Yes, I blame boomers and the infinite line go up mentality.
>>
>>523933305
Because I ride a Honda, it doesn't need fixing.
>>
>>523933305
Things are not made to be fixed. They are made to be repaired by the corporation.
You learn that in Engineering school. Ford, John Deer... they design their products to fail in a way that only they can fix.
That extra oil plug you don't need that will corrode out and can't reach? That's by design. That spark plug you can't replace without dropping the engine? That also was intentional.

And cunt half of Aus would cease to function if we didn't fix our own shit.
>>
>>523933492
That jewish bullshit.
I had a VW bug. I fixed everything about it, even replacing the clutch and engine. And land of plenty. what crap you say! Starting wage was $1.15/hr, gas was 25 cents to 50 cents a gallon. rent was $300/month
you're full of shit.
>>
>>523933492
I can confirm this my dad didn't teach me shit. Not about cars, women, taxes, he didn't teach me a fucking thing. I have 2 kids now and I am excited to teach and show them how to do stuff I had to learn on my fucking own because my dad was a drunk boomer that did nothing but watch niggerball, and cheat on all his wives.
>>
>>523933305
It all depends. I don't fix small electronics much, but I keep my ancient cars running. Pick your battles.
>>
>>523934129
Small electricronics have become so cheap it's more expensive to fix than to buy a new one.

kys, kike. My boomer parents fixed, diy, and built things because they couldn't afford it. My father built my brothers and I some cool ass GI Joe buildings out of wood for Christmas. He and my mother sewed a scale size tent for our GI Joes. My father hand made a Lincoln log kit for my little brother. I wish I had pictures.
We had a shit starter house. Dad fixed or built everything. He built kitchen cabinets. The old well failed and he hand dug a new well. Whe we were little mom made our clothes. We raised huge gardens, chickens, turkeys, etc. Canning, butchering, freezing. My parents busted their fucking asses.
>>
>>523933305
Nobody has anything to fix because nobody owns a house. That leaves vehicles. Nobody has a place to work because everyone is renting. If they do have a place to work, they may not have a place to store heavy equipment like a jack or an air compressor. The biggest problem is that even if they manage to have all that, they don't have time because everyone is exhausted from wageslaving. You can't take off two days to fix your car, but you can get it towed to a garage, and take an uber to work (at 10x the cost). If you want to same money on parts you have to wait even longer, because good prices on parts are only available online with slow shipping. Otherwise you have to pay 4x more for Chinesium from Autozone.

For most people this is just too much.
>>
>>523934521
Yeah and my dad was upper middle class and didn't do any of that and didn't teach me shit, but we made just enough money for him to stay drunk all the time but not enough to spoil us like the rich kids. So we got off brand Walmart clothes and made fun of while also not knowing how to fix shit. I'd have much rather been poor like you because I didn't fit in anywhere it seemed. But my poor friends always helped me fix my shit and showed me a lot of stuff.
>>
>>523934521
>Your generalization is false because my parents weren't retarded.
sigh
I learned more about repair from my father-in-law than my actual dad, probably because my wife is an only child and he obviously always wanted a son.
>>
>>523933305

>replace phone battery
Not in 90% of all phones now nigger, good fucking luck
1. Getting the battery
2. Getting the case off in one piece
3. Gluing that bitch on right

Besides made like shit, things are intentionally rigged to be as unrepairable as possible now
>>
>>523935247
Posting this on a 2020 phone that I've swapped the battery in twice.

WTF are you posting about retard. Boomers lived in a time when you had to keep everything running yourself. It was pre disposable China shit.

The entire generational warfare shit to redirect blame on to boomers/genx/millenials/zoomers/etc instead of the very few wealthy people controlling the economy is 100% a kiked psyop.
>>
>>523934122
Just cos your old man was prickl it doesn't then mean all boomers were useless cunts. They built the world you live in you dildo. Im gen z, my parents and all my parents friends mended and reengineered everything snd anything. Your generation even has youtube to show you how to tie your fucking shoes and still can't get it right. No one mends anything now because youre all practically incapable and expect it to be done for you. You forget, boomers like my parents grew up in literal bomb sites in London. All scrap iron had been poured into the war effort. There was no spare anything. They still manged to build the society that eipes your fucking useless arse for you though. Cunt.

>>523933305

Widespread anti-consumer practices made most shit unfixable.

I'm not rich nigger I make 33k a year. I'm just not financing McDonald's on my iPhone.
>>
>>523935591
If you scroll down I explain I understand not every boomer was like that and my situation is unique. My friends that were poor used to show me stuff they built or their dad's helped them with and it fucking hurt man. But I learned a lot on my own, with friends, and from YouTube as you say. I guess my first comment was an instant reaction to something I deeply identified with.

Sometimes it is not worth fixing stuff. Either too low quality, too hard to fix, or parts are too hard to find. Sometimes its worth it though.

I'm a millennial. I make 33k a year, I own my land, and have a decent mortgage payment as my only debt. My vehicles are paid for by hard work. What's so hard about accepting you're just shit with money or lazy.
>>
>>523933305
Because of 2 things..

Niggers and Jews...

Niggi And Jew work hand in hand so that the Goyim have to keep buying new crap from the big corperate machine., Niggers do what they do best, steal shit so you dont have shit to fix.

Park your car, come back and no calatytic converter on your 20 year old Toyota... fuking Niggers.

Joos? I tried to get parts to fix a Manual Mazda 3... shiieeeeet! They dont make shit anymore, try ordering from Japan probably $1000 for a part. I am talking about something stupid like a hood latch switch! or a Bolt for the starter!

>>523933305
Fix what exactly? Most people don't own dirt bikes or snowmobiles, home appliances are dog shit and anything requiring more than a single replacement part isn't worth it, the vast majority of consumer electronics are designed to be disposable, and any car made after 2015 is going to be so wired with tech, that fixing anything other than a hubcap or light bulb requires a trip to a mechanic, or if you REALLY fucked up, the dealership.
>>
>>523939665
2005! Japanese cars refuse to die, especially full manual ones.
Parts are not expensive, just hard to get now, if you can get them from a dealer they are the same cheap price, shipping the part is expensive.
