All my friends and family are far away. My niece and nephew see their uncle once per year, maybe twice. Every time I see my parents they’re more visibly aged. If I have a kid they’ll only know me as an old guy with no friends, and they won’t know their grandparents outside of a few visits. It’s a horrible existence really. On paper I’m doing well financially, everything else is horrible.
