Imagine this: In ancient Japan, a man invented a religion, gained a bit of a follower but got ostracized and he and their follower seek asylum to India. Then they basically married the local Indians, who surprisingly follow their religion, and got kinda big, but the Hindu locals still opressed them. However they're clever enough to work with the British Empire and secured some future, and when the Brit won WW2 while Japan lost some of the now almost fully Indian ancestor of the ancient Japan religion has a right to return to Japan, and due to Japan's low birth rate they are currently the fastest growing race in Japan.

My question would be: would u side with the ancestors of that ancient Japanese religion?
