Never locked our house or car, never had anything stolen from us.I dropped my wallet getting out of my car, the cleaning ladies saw it and returned it.My mother forgot her bicycle after going to a nearby shop, the shop owner came to our home on the bicycle to return it after closing for the day. You could just say your dad sent you and buy cigarettes and beer from the corner shop, you can say you forgot your wallet and the owner would just open a tab for you because you'll just pay next time etc.It's depressing that this is something most people will never experience.
