I'm gonna be that retard and ask what the purpose is of getting that boat in the Caspian Sea. It wasn't being used in the war was it? What do pidors even use these boats for now?

This militarnyi article says it was the only ship of its kind operating in the Caspian. There are now thirteen others and they are located in the Azov sea, Black sea, and Pacific.
The article references hits on oil rigs in the Caspian. Perhaps this class of boats serve as floating AD against incoming drones to attack the rigs? Is that reasonable?

They might use these boats to detect drones
Especially when you're out at sea there is little radar clutter and what could otherwise be a nice way to bypass air defences for Ukrainian drone strikes turns into an early warning system and interception option for ziggers.

Yes, Russia will still exist, and it will be pissed off, armed to the teeth, and looking for a softer target than Ukraine to restore "imperial honour."

The BND literally released a report warning that Russia will be ready to test Article 5 by 2029. Why? Because they are spending 40% of their national budget on defence. You can't just spin that down without causing a massive recession. A defeated Russia is a Russia that *needs* another war to justify its internal tyranny.

>Either Russia is weak and losing, or it isn’t.
Your worldview is tragically binary. You seem unable to grasp that a nation can be tactically failing in Ukraine while simultaneously reorganising its entire economy into a long-term existential threat. Russia has cannibalised its civil sector to build a war machine. If the war ends today, those factories don't shut down—they start filling stockpiles for 2029. German and Estonian intelligence assess a 4-year reconstitution window before they test Article 5.

That $100 billion is a bargain-bin insurance premium we pay to keep the contact line in the Donbas rather than the Suwalki Gap. We prepare for war precisely so we don't have to fight it. You interpret basic deterrence as "fear" because you've never been responsible for anything more valuable than a shitpost.

No it hasn't, retard. If Russia had actually gone to a war-time economy, its economy would have collapsed a long time ago. Russia has been paying about 5-7% of GDP on its military since the start of the war.

If Russia's goal was merely to conquer territory, it would have invaded a long time ago. Ukraine would have been much easier in 2014.

>That $100 billion is a bargain-bin insurance premium we pay to keep the contact line in the Donbas rather than the Suwalki Gap.
That $100 billion is on top of the previous hundreds of billions, and the rate in which Ukraine is chewing through money is accelerating because its real economy has completely collapsed. Regardless, if you think Ukraine is winning you're fucking retarded. Even western media comes right out and says it. Europe is desperate for a peace deal, and America is walking away.

>You interpret basic deterrence as "fear"

>5-7% of GDP
It’s 40% of your entire federal budget, you disingenuous shill.
Nabiullina had to crank the key rate to 21% just to keep your "robust" economy from hyperventilating. You have a labor shortage of 2.6 million workers because they’re either dead in a trench near Pokrovsk or fleeing to Georgia. That isn't a functioning economy; it's a combustion engine running on its own pistons.

This might be the single lowest IQ take I've seen on this board.
It matters because of opportunity cost, midwit. When you spend 40% of the federal budget on artillery shells that explode once, you aren't spending it on the heating pipes bursting in Chita and Novosibirsk. You are burning your seed corn to keep the furnace running for one more winter.

Europe has capital, industry, and high-tech manufacturing. You have rocks in the ground that you can’t extract without Western drilling tech because Schlumberger left. Venezuela has the most oil in the world—how’s that working out for them?

Thanks for admitting the quiet part out loud: Russia is regressing to a pre-industrial feudal state.
Here is the difference: In 1754, the state didn't have to maintain an electrical grid, a district heating system, or pay 42 million pensioners who form the core of Putin’s electorate.
If you run a 21st-century country on an 18th-century budget structure, you don't get the British Empire; you get North Korea. You are dismantling your entire social contract to fund a land grab, and you think this is a "gotcha"?

yeah but external breakeven is probably more like ~$40
which is more devastating short term

the company breakeven contains capex and other expenditure without a 1:1 relation to the amount of oil sold
and even if the running cost > selling cost, the company has to notice
most do not have super accurate pricing on this
so it takes a few months or even years below breakeven before companies go bust

whereas the external breakeven will immediately impact Russias ability to buy stuff in China

A Russian combat priest, currently stationed somewhere near the town of Slovyansk, said that there are no atheists in his unit "Bars-13" - for reasons everyone can guess. Specifically the priest said that once someone goes through his first shelling - he begins to believe, or to hope, that God is keeping him alive. And once men decide to ask how to pray properly - the priest teaches them everything he can. He said that on the frontlines there are only goals - there is no time for idle negativity.
Interestingly enough the priest said that he had cases when muslims came to him for a conversion into Orthodox Christianity - one such case took place during the battle of Bakhmut. The priest is in Ukraine since 2022. He was a conscript in his youth, so the army life is familiar to him. Do you think he has to grab a rifle and shoot the Ukrainians when his unit is under attack?

Sit down, retard. Let’s do Economics 101 for the remedial class.
You raise interest rates to strangle inflation when your economy is overheating from printing money for war. High rates are chemotherapy. The Ruble is "strong" (83/USD) only because of Capital Controls. You can't freely trade it. The Central Bank forces exporters to dump 80% of their dollars to prop it up.
You are flexing a manipulated exchange rate while your mortgage rates are 19%, and the price of butter has doubled. You are pointing at a painted window on a burning house and saying, "Look how clean the glass is."

Yes, high interest rates are to tame inflation. All money is debt. By raising interest rates, you make borrowing more expensive, people stop borrowing, there is less money, so less inflation.

The point is, high interest rates are the result of monetary policy set by a central bank.

>The Ruble is "strong" (83/USD) only because of Capital Controls. You can't freely trade it.
It is still traded, and it still floats, even if there are restrictions. China does the same thing because they don't want foreigners manipulating their currency.

Regardless, I'm not saying things are good in Russia, but the numbers you're throwing out don't mean what you think, and the moment the war ends, most of these issues go away. I'm talking about the future. Which is pretty bleak for Europe.

>the moment the war ends, these issues go away
That is when the real collapse begins, student.
Right now, your GDP is propped up by military spending. When the war ends, the tank orders stop, the factories close, and the "growth" vanishes—but you still have to pay disability pensions to over a million cripples and service 16% debt.

Europe's "bleak" is a recession. Your "bleak" is 1991 on repeat, but this time you're a Chinese vassal.

>China is the world's factory.
Why though? Tell me the history.

>You are a gas station
I'm not Russian.

>your GDP is propped up by military spending.
Russian isn't in a wartime economy, and procurement is a tiny fraction of total military spending. The main issue Russia would have is jobs for the million men coming back from war.

>Europe's "bleak" is a recession.
Europe's bleak is from its total dependency on the United States which can no longer afford it. Ironically, it is Europe claiming it can create a new economy built on military spending. The problem is, it has no resources. So it not only will lose its productive potential, but will lose exports. Europe is going to be much much much poorer and its hyperfinancialized economies will become worthless.

>Your "bleak" is 1991 on repeat
The only way Russia has a collapse like the 90's is if they lose this war. Which will not happen.

Half are decomposing in the mud near Pokrovsk. The other half are "Storm-Z" convicts with PTSD who are currently causing a massive crime wave across Russia. modern countries are very different from the versions fighting in WW2

today's economies are a lot more fragile (though a lot more efficient)
Germany had ~35% of their working force in the primary sector in '39
all those farmers were a lot more independent than modern worker

>more like 40% of GDP
*measured GDP
today's GDP is very accurate and also tries to capture the shadow economy
that was not the case 80y ago

Russia has a lot more obligation than it had during WW2
I doubt that it would be even possible for any country today to go beyond 20% of GDP

If you were one to think and think critically you wouldn't have made yourself so partial to the stupid, synkretic-solipsistic worldview that you have.
The thing is that you don't believe in truth as an epistemic pursuit, it's an ideological one to you.
Lies are okay as long as it serves the "bigger truth" illusion you have created and subdued yourself to.
People that believe that there is an actual truth and don't subscribe to the "nothing is true but everything is possible" mindset by which most conspiracy theorists assemble their synkretic views are annoyed and offended when people tell them fat lies and deflect from one bit to the next while claiming to be truthful and pretending to argue in good faith.

>>
>>523996205

>>
>>523996405

Nice moral superiority cope essay.
The truth is that I really don't care what happens, let's say, East of Poland. Even then...

No has cared about Ukraine in the US for years. They hardly did to begin with.

The first reply says it all.
You're insincere and at best a shill but at worst and more likely an actual idiot.
You are most certainly a free thinker in that your thoughts are unconstrained.
But you used this lack of constraints to assemble a pile of garbage instead of any worthwhile new construct because you don't understand the constructs in the first place.
I never talked about the moral value unless of course you yourself feel morally attacked and demeaned for me simply stating that you aren't true and honest.
But that's a you problem.
At the face of it this is a matter of epistemology and yours is nothing but a collection-sewer in which you had osmotically absorbed a bunch of pathetic hafl-baked ideas about the world and are now sure that russias war against Ukraine is justified because globohomo or some other such thought-terminating clishee catechism of yours.
And that's if you're not just a paid shill or a bot.
Monocausal, blinkered, blighted, moldy thinking is what that is.

Your rapid and rabid reaction is really only proving my point, meme flag. It feels very inorganic for so many people to care so much in one direction about such an inconsequential issue.

Man, you are giving off some HUGE r/Iamverysmart energy.
Are you a woman? I get the impression from your writing style that you are. Perhaps it's just the AI translation.
Anyway, killing each other is just an expression of Slavic culture. Who are we to intervene?

>HUR Chief Budanov said Russia plans to occupy Baltic states by 2027, accelerated from 2030, and strike Poland without occupation, viewing the West as weak and indecisive.
lying like this makes you lose credibility desu
>>
>>523998653
because thats a retarded statement and when you say something stupid people want to laugh at you. warfare itself is cruelty beyond comprehension and crying about a bomb delivery system is retarded.

ever notice how none of the "drones" flying around airports and military bases in Europe ever crash or as shot down...same as the "drones" in NJ. Ever wonder why this is?
