Why is it that so many Redditors, upon hearing that a category isn't quite as rigidly and neatly defined as might be expected will then go off the deep end to the other extreme and act as if it's a completely and totally arbitrary nonsense category that's not grounded in anything?Wasn't that Vaush guy recently just mocked for doing that with gender?Many people understand lot of categories are messy like that and have exceptions, like humans having fingers and a tiny minority of humans being born without fingers or something, but for some it seems to totally shatter their brains to a point of batshit mental illness.
