Has there been any improvement in society as you see it?I was born in the 60s and everything has gone downhill since the 90s. 2008 was the last good year, 2008's economic crisis and covid's quarantines speed up the process of decay IMO.

Shouldn't you be playing Bingo or something right now?

absolutely not

90's were the top.
9/11 was was not the cause of the tip, but it was the symptom.

>Bingo
I am not an american boomer and is too social for me.
I prefer to eat empanadas and drink beer watching torrented movies.

In society? No.
In my personal life? Absolutely. I haven't spoken to the vast majority of my relatives in over fifteen years. You can't buy that kind of peace in this life.

world is 100% shit being run by psychos who have no qualms with openly genociding people.
nothing has ever improved in my life, and until heads roll, never will. bad people need to be dealt with

2008 was already bad (at least in argentina). All the teens already had social media at highschool, the music was pure garbage, teens pretending being gangsters etc. Very similar to what we have now, just less tattoos

>haven't spoken to the vast majority of my relatives in over fifteen years

I started doing this and it helped me to stop drinking, fixed my bowel movements, raised my credit score...the benefits are multifold.

Your lamenting does not solve anything.
Going to work, stacking shelves, delivering packages, manufacturing goods, getting an education, doing math is the only thing that helps.
Only more tech propels us forwards and solves our material needs and issues.
There is no going backwards.

No. And it's almost amazing.
Think about it. By pure chance there should have been SOME improvement in some minor category. Yet its all shit.
Even the most important measure of a free and based society; Access to whores and hookers, has become worse. You could fuck legit 18 year old students in the 90's. Now they all look like shit as soon as they turn 20, or rather just milk simps on online services.
That's when I knew humanity is on a downward spiral.
Rome fell when they made away with courtesans.

I'm not one to tease or make jokes at the expense of others very often. This often earns me the reputation of being too nice. It's not a great sign that the standard for nice is that low.

no. 90s was indeed the peak.
it's been 30 years of decline.
>>
>>524017786
none whatsoever, life in the united states has been on a steady and steep decline since the 90's and now under trump its the worst its ever been i am not hopeful for the future of this nation at all considering we have a pedophile president and a government who are all defenders of pedophiles and human traffickers its sick.
>>
there was a relatively brief moment after the fall of the USSR and before 9/11 when everything was all good. after the 2008 crash everything has been downhill.
>>

>older anons
38. considering you're the outlier here and zoom zooms are all deathly afraid of turning 30, i'm still going to say that "38" is old
>any improvement
no, just casual maintenance on a terminal patient in a hospice that changes management every 4 years
>2008 was the last good year
maybe in argentina -
the last good year was 2007 here.
2000 was the peak's plateau, the last time "hope" existed in any sort of meaningful way. 9/11 vaporized that and shifted everything into shit-mode but people were psyopped to accept the "new normal" and pretend like everything was still great despite the constant and obvious feeling of impending doom due to that event.
the early 2000s were a swan song for the most part, the writing was on the wall in 2006 for anyone paying attention so 2007 felt like a huge party. by 2008 things were already circling the drain, then obviously the crash happened and it was over after that.
