It's clear that it doesn't work and God doesn't love most men, in fact He wants them to live in extreme turmoil so it makes sense less and less people would believe in. I mean, when you look at it people used to believe because they thought He will protect their families, now that this is impossible to achieve for most men there's no reason to believe, honestly.
