People are acting like they've never been to a party and seen people get into a heated argument. Most peoples first thought when they see a familial dispute would not be to call the cops, especially if it is between people you are friends or colleagues with. This is one of those things where it is obvious in hindsight but in the moment you just brush it off as a heated but harmless exchange.
