Do monarchies function better than republics?

Monarchism is Autism

Monarchy is the only tried and tested form of governance which have proven track record for existing multiple millenias. Meanwhile democracies crumble within few decades.

Birthrates are fucked in all of those places so none of these systems of governance can guarantee their own survival. I would argue that monarchies do not function better than repubics in that regard.

So why is it failing to guarantee birth rates everywhere it is being practiced?
Perhaps in modernity we live in a radically different context from 200 years ago when this system did function.
