Currently they are banned everywhere, but still at large informally.Other Islamist groups like Al-Qaeda keep trolling them and calling them cucks for believing in "democracy", and "political organization", while every state in the region and outside it keep calling them terrorists (with no proof whatsover), so they get the worse of both worlds.Members tend to be highly educated (phds/MBAs, MDs) and/or wealthy and with influence, which is why they tend to not get cracked down on too heavily, and can survive long times dormant, as they just fund themselves.
