There is no I in AI. It is big data and massive processing power combined. All the books every written in history is about 130 million requiring 200-300 Terabytes of data - that is a thumb drive to some of these datacenters measured in exabytes. Google has indexed 4Billion webpages from 1.2Billion websites which is good for 15 petabytes of data. Add every song lyric, every research paper, all social media, all op-eds, etc. Why not also add images. In 60 terabytes you can make every image, portrait, art, photo, TV show ever captured - 1920x1080x24bit colour. Once we have the images in an array we can compare them - "chat what is happening in this photo?" - 84% pixel match with London bridge from 6,000 images, bicycle in picture identified, bench identified, Chef Gordon Ramsay in photo or "add an elephant on a beach smoking a pipe" ... all just math.We would say intelligence is the ability to learn, understand, and make judgments based on reason. Someone explain where the intelligence is. If I had a book with all of this info in it and I was fast enough to find the page and recite what was on the page, am I intelligent? Intelligence wrote the books, designed the image compression, built the hard drives, increased the processing power of computers, built relational databases, etc. AI is the finish line of a bunch of work that has been happening for 50 years. It is the sum of a lot of intelligence, but what it does is not intelligent based on most definitions.
