>plastic tranny tubs
that's why it went broke, only glass and silver is king.
>>
In cases like this, you should have charged way more money. Like if the bowl will last 50 years, it's legitimately way more valuable than the $10 you paid for it. They should sell them or $500.
Or another way to go is to pay some kind of renter's fee on the product. 25 cents per year or something. That way a product that lasts a long time brings in more money, so there's every incentive to develop longer lasting products. With today's online world, this could be handled seamlessly by attaching a bank account.
>>
>>524106459
Nice try. They went out of business because of what we now know about leeching and microplastics.
>>

>plastic tranny tubs
this
and it's shape does not make sense anymore as people want to maximize their fridge space do go for more boxy containers which stack well and aren't tapered like those tubs are.

Wow, like a subscription service for my culinary!
>>
Plastic containers are free. Most food comes with one.
>>
>>524106459
Corning/Pyrex are going fine. Sweet sweet glass. I love glass. Glass is god-tier.
>>
>>524106799
Yeah. So you walk into the store, walk out with the bowl for $0. But then pay a tiny fee, like 25 cents per year. The bowl lasts 40 years, so you paid $10 for the bowl in the end.
When you're done with the bowl, you can bring it back to the store and get some money back for it. They will refurbish it a bit, then resell it.

This way the bowls that exist in society are out there generating continuous revenue. There's every incentive to develop a product that lasts as long as possible.

He was MOCKING you, daft cunt. Fucking faceblind retard.
>>
does anyone else remember their parents having tupperware parties where they would trade tupperware with each other
>>
>>524106933
I'm saying, this is a way that a capitalist system could indeed be profitable on long-lasting products. But it's not supported by the legal system right now.
>>
>use saved plastic to-go containers from restaurants
All of it holds up well nowadays. So much plastic waste.

naw bro, people just replaced them with the cheap chinese food ones that you can buy a stack of 100 of for $12.
>>
>>524106459
I used to have a bunch of different brands of food containers, but I threw them all out and replaced them with IKEA 365+. Glass for the fridge, plastic for the pantry. Everything in my entire drawer only uses two different kinds of lids, which are easy to clean and stack perfectly on top of each other.

For anybody else considering this, do it. Find whatever brand you like, and completely buy into their system. Your plastic drawer will be so tidy.

Nigger they make resealable plastic boxes.
They got outcompeted because they thought their name meant they could charge more, when the reality is they made resealable plastic boxes.

This, IKEA glass containers are on a whole new level. They also break from time to time, so the company is guaranteed to keep selling new units.
>>
>>524107800
yeah because it's made with disposable plastics, as in plastics that are good for one use but degrade with multiple uses and end up in your food. i bet you re-use disposable water bottles too and that's even worse. do you even know the type of plastic your container is made out of? of course not. you tried to win and save a few dollars but you lost because you're dumb. tupperware and similar multi-use plastic containers exist, are made of plastics safe for re-use and resistant to oxidation over time and cost more for a reason, next time don't try to outsmart the system.
>>
>>524107800
I use these too but they say that plastic in them is only rated for product shelf life and leaches toxic shit when repeatedly freezing/ thawing.
>>
>>524107800
No grandmas all do that
>>
their marketing relied on bored housewives socially shaming each other to buy each others tupperware to fit in. fewer wives, fewer customers.

I buy glass versions of that shit. Not only is it healthier for you but there's also a minor risk of dropping&breaking them so there's never an end to consumer demand of those

They should have diversified their business.

And how would it be any different under communism/socialism or whatever? Only the people would be bearing the loss.
>>
>>524106528
>quality
everything is chinkshit intentionally made to fucking break down fast so you have to replace it or at least pay the kike company to "repair" it
>>
>>524106459
That lifetime warranty thing was a pretty stupid idea though. Millions of sink group semi-impoverished boomers moving into retirement watching their guaranteed eternal collections of decomposing plastic for the slightest crack or imperfection.
>>
>>524106459
I've never got the whole Tupperware craze back when it just started. They make good products for sure. But countless of other companies started making the same products at similar quality and much lower prices. I got all my food containers from the local supermarket, and after 5 years they still hold up very well.
>>
>>524106459
Naw, they caught a lotta flak from the pthalates scare. Now people prefer glass.
>>
>>524107800

>>524108022
theres no such thing as good plastic
should even keep a porcelain plate to pour food over into for good morale and eating like a human at work if possible
plastic lid is fine since it should only be used once the food is cold anyway, to transport/preserve cold.
use something else as lid in a microvave if you cant pour food over into a proper plate

plastic sweats pfas once it becomes warm and turns your food into a chemical plant full of tranny fuel
buy glass containers, preferrably in 1-3 different sizes to avoid cluttering the storage units at home with uneven shapes that wont stack
>>
>>524106459
this is not why tupperware died
it died because it failed to get onboard with internet sales until it was too late
