I've done ride-alongs with my local police department and citizens academy courses with them and they do a good job.That being said, I've had encounters with bad law enforcement officers, from my experience, most of them are actually in smaller towns that are off the map. They're the 'Paul Blart' types who couldn't make it in a real department so they go out to the middle of nowhere where they'll hire anyone, then try to overcompensate for being losers and feel relevant by harassing people that are just passing through the town.Overall I'm pro-law enforcement but I acknowledge it's there are bad ones too.

Worked in LE briefly. Some of them are the cream of the crop and take their jobs seriously. Just because they're good at their jobs doesn't mean they won't fuck you up. On the flipside, there are the shitheads. The bad ones are worse than you could imagine. They steal, they lie, they cheat, they rape, they plant or destroy evidence. Both of these types are rare. 90 percent of cops are kind of lazy and just want to do as little as possible and go home.
