What is the most respectable third world shithole, if there's even such a thing? A country that's poor mostly due to circumstance rather than the fault of its people, and they're genuinely trying to improve their situation. The only one that comes to mind is Moldova, the poorest country in Europe, but even Moldova is a lot better than non-European shitholes.
