The misunderstandings on which atheism subsists seem to mostly boil down to an inability to understand that the scope of the natural sciences is fixed. They believe all knowledge is derived from the scientific method (wrong). And they believe what cannot be known by the scientific method cannot exist (wrong). Knowledge and existence are orthogonal. Imagine it's a dark night and I lose my car keys somewhere along a street. The atheist only searches for his keys under the illuminated spaces under the street lamps because he assumes the keys can only be where the light is (wrong).

Atheists don't even understand science. They can't explain the material basis of ethics and morality.

Science at least has a >0% chance of being wrong. Religion, not so much
>>
Yeah but unfortunately the whole other part of trying to know or have experience of the mysteric parts of reality always ends up in made up delusions, why can't we have real paranormal shit?

It seems to be a part of human nature that most people are uncomfortable not knowing the answers to the big questions, so they just latch on to some made up crap that resonates with them, whether it's woowoo religion or woowoo science
>>

That's not true. Religion has a chance of being wrong. If archaeologists one day discovered the tomb of Jesus Christ and along Jesus' bones, then all of Christianity would be invalidated. The apostles knew this from day one. It's in the New Testament.

They seem to be able to grasp that under their atheist system, morality is nothing more than social contracts people choose to obey or not. But they don't really dwell on the worst implications of this thought, i.e., truth and justice being illusions while the only real law there is is will to power.

I don't follow.
