>South Korean president Lee Jae Myung has instructed his government to consider extending public health insurance to cover hair-loss treatments, arguing that baldness has become a “matter of survival” rather than a cosmetic concern for young people.
>Park Joo-min, a ruling party MP who has publicly discussed his hair transplant procedure and is known for his advocacy on hair-loss issues, posted “truly Korea!” on X in an apparent endorsement.
>The proposal, which has since faced a backlash from medical professionals and conservative figures, was announced during a policy briefing on Tuesday and would expand coverage beyond the limited medical treatments currently available for certain types of hair loss.
>South Korea operates a universal insurance scheme funded by premiums that are calculated based on income. Currently, the scheme covers only hair loss caused by medical reasons, such as alopecia areata. Most treatments for common male pattern baldness remain excluded from coverage.
>The influential Korean Medical Association said that “rather than investing health insurance finances in hair loss treatment coverage, prioritising coverage for cancer and other serious diseases would better align with health insurance principles.”
>Health minister Jeong Eun Kyeong expressed caution about the proposal, interpreting Lee’s “survival” claim as referring to young people’s confidence during job searches and the impact on mental health.

Why is there such ridiculous pressure to look physically perfect in South Korea?

Just man up and shave your heads

>>524121563
But east Asians rarely loose their hair young, they can't even grow proper beards until they are old
>>
Hmm I sense some personal bias involved here. They should check his head.

Doesn't work with Asian women. It's 100% a reproductive death sentence in east Asia to be bald.

Based
Balding is worse than death, more countries should do the same

I mean, he's right in terms of "survival of the bloodline".
Women have become so superficial that balding has a very high chance of exterminating any chance you ever had for passing on your genes if it happens too early.
I saw it with myself. I'm 6'4" and athletic. I always got a lot of attention, but that dropped to zero the moment my hair started thinning. It wasn't wrinkles or anything, I had those first. It was exclusively hair loss during that period.
Already had kids by that point so it didn't matter to me, but for someone in his 20s, it's absolutely an issue.
Definitely way more of an issue than women's demands that their tampons should be covered by tax money, kek

Yes but Korean mobsters typically shave or cut short the sides of the head and leave hair on top, probably so people know they aren’t really bald kek.

This is baldlet cope. If you’re bald it’s because you do not take care of your hair and do not eat enough meat, dairy and oils. Vegetarian and balanced diets are designed to cause baldness by creating protein deficiencies. Hair follicles are entirely composed of protein. If you’re bald then you are a genetic dead end by choice alone. Stop drinking, stop doing drugs, stop using shampoo, and get on carnivore. Gently massage your scalp when washing it and take hot showers to stimulate blood flow. You won’t do any of this because of learned helplessness though.

Because matriarch society.
It's making men HATE women, and making women put themselves on pillars + social media.
China has stopped making movies that portray a wealthy person finding them and sweeping them off their feet(fantasy bullshit they try to realize, not recognizing its mega fiction)

Nex they will subsidize height lengthening surgeries, and blue eye surgeries, and schlong increasing gene editing.
While also forgetting the social attraction features, without teaching what it is to be suave.
