Why do companies seldomly commit acts of generosity and humanity? For example when I was a teenager Sony replaced my mp3 player under warranty despite having been damaged by water. They did this because I was a kid and they wanted to be kind. Since then I've been a Sony fanboy. This is how companies can attract customers and loyalty. They can boost their image as well.
>>524128473They did it because MP3 players were extremely overpriced you retard and keeping you as a customer was within the margin, not because ChingChong Nohara in Japan liked you very much.
>>524128473in most companies if you did that you would get fired, unless it went viral or something and you tricked the general population into thinking you cared first about customers, then maybe you would not get fired (until later)
>>524128675You hardly hear about companies acting against their warranty policy, it's just not common at all. And overpriced? Not at all, I was lower middle class and could afford them. This was in the early 2000s btw.
>>524128945Overpriced for what they were, not overpriced as in only rich people could afford them.
>>524129044They were a technological leap over CD players at the time. They also came before the iPod.
>>524128473Because every (((business))) on the planet is run by psychopathic sociopaths that literally want to eat your flesh and wear your skin, so of course they wont do anything nice.
>>524129157Not really. They just had larger amounts of memory stored within them.
>>524128945https://youtube.com/shorts/OvQRmXSKWD8?si=F13HlOcrjQCikosoWe tried, it ended horribly. Since then 4chan has been against the mailman and their lies.
>>524128473Infinite growth. Basically companies can't just make the same profit year over year investors want to see increased profits every year. This is why products and services get worse over time.
