What went so wrong for Russia?

People were fucking scared of them in the 80s, even the West was. And now... they can't even defeat a bunch of hillbillies directly on their borders.

Rarely in history has a superpower suffered such a pathetic fate in such a short time. It took two world wars to bring Germany to its knees. And Soviets did it voluntarily in the retarded hope Anglo-kikes would welcome them into globohomo and give them money kek.

How weak is Ukraine they still can't push an army using shovels and horses fully out of their own territory despite all the gibs?

its a retard fight
fact is tho, nobody on feb 24th, 2022 expected ukraine to still be fighting into 2026 LMFAO
even I thought "once Russia achieves air supremacy over Ukraine with its Migs and Sukhois, it'll become a duck shoot and gg"
people were hogging copium about an imminent and difficult Ukrainian insurgency

lol how wrong we were

They are meme tier. By far the weakest and poorest of the bigger european countries.
It's hilarious how some people have been jewed into thinking Russia is about to attack the EU when they can't even deal with Ukraine kek. Rheinmetal shareholders must be some of the happiest people in the world lately.

All these "Russia is a joke and weak and losing" threads convinced me to support Trump a little more than a year ago so everybody didn't have to pay money to support a country that was beating Russia so easily. Why would we support Ukraine if Russia still can't do anything? The whole thing was obviously a grift.

And still being ruled by Jews. To be fair Jews are clogging up the govs of all major European countries today.

Soviet military spending was like 40% of their budget and was unsustainable especially after they made the retarded decision to try and raise their standard of living by cucking their population growth, putting them at a competitive disadvantage to countries like China (shithole, too many people, using private-public funding to outproduce russia by sheer numbers), Japan (small but highly efficient, nearly eclipsed the USA and surpassed the USSR in the mid-80s) and USA (technologically advanced and used China as a place to suck more shit out of hteir asses).

Communism and high standard of living with massive military spending didn' work. It was also as massive as it was because it conquered eastern europe during a period of weakness. Current Russia is basically fighting the largest army in europe armed with cutting edge western tech, this is the closest to ww3 you're gonna get.

nah people didnt really dispute ukraine's will to fight (other than the decisionmakers in Kremlin LMAO) it was more about their lack of ability than will
in the first hours of the invasion there was disinfo about massive naval landings at Odessa and Mariupol & Ukraine's military "completely disintegrating" in 1.5 hours in a brilliant Desert Storm-style shock&awe operation from above KEK

Sad thing about Russia was its space program trying to land a probe on the Moon with Luna 25 and failing. First time since 1976, while China already did it 4 times since 2013. Wasting 30 years as a taxi service for ISS, with nothing to show for.

Empire basically.
Empires are expensive and when they can't be sustained anymore then shit gets bad.
The USA is going the same direction since the only thing they ever got out of their empire was cheap debt and deindustrialisation
>>
>>524151204
The USSR literally collapsed because of its military budget and industrial underperformance+ fiat currency was actually beneficial for muttistan because it was able to 'borrow against the future' and from foreign countries (if the USSR had somehow continued into the 1990s, like gorby being replaced by the coup or whatever, the USA would have memed on the USSR harder using Japanese cheap money for example) meant the USA could basically just cheat and outproduce the USSR using resoruces and finished goods it had not yet bought/produced with loans, while the USSR had to work with the resources and factories and money it had in the here and now due to the admittedly more realistic economics of communism vs. the "trust me i'm good for it bro" of americapitalism.

Russia was about to decapitate Kiev and then putin pulled back because he was convinced he could win diplomatically. Putin simply made a strategic error not niggering the capital as quickly as possible.

The SU didn't crash in hopes of globohomo, it crashed because all their border states like East Germany and Romania clearly saw the USSR wasn't keeping up for decades. Since WW2.

And the only reason USSR survived WW2 was due to Lend-Lease. The white North American worker.

They coasted on that for some decades, getting stuff like 150,000 Studebaker trucks and by the time of the early 1990s Eastern Europeans people (other than Russians) just tired of always being 40+ years behind in most aspects and wanted out of the system.

Ukraine is not a backwater but even before WW2 was the source of much of their weapons and technology. More than most of Russia itself.
>>
>>524150372
>They are meme tier
What is exactly a meme tier?
At this point Ukraine is possibly the only country in Europe with an actual army, equipped and experienced.
The next is Poland, a paper army with equipment, without experience.
Then there's everybody else. Underfunded army, small numbers, people freaking over compulsory military service (several months of training).

Lend-Lease accounted for ONLY 7% of the total production of the Soviet Union, that's a mere FRACTION of what the Soviets themselves have produced and the bulk of the Lend-Lease was made available only AFTER the Soviets have won the war at Stalingrad and Kursk, which enabled them to stabilize their own borders, lift the air, land and sea blockade to allow majority of Lend-Lease shipments to actually reach their ports and make use of their massive infrastructure through which they've moved the aforementioned supplies to their army on the front lines.
you're delusional if you think that without it the Soviets would've lost, since they've won Kursk and Stalingrad without the relevant amount of it (the bulk) being available to them, the only reason Mutts are overemphasizing it's importance is because they're aware of the fact that the World War II was won and lost on the Eastern Front not the Western or Pacific Front, so they want to portray themselves as being the ones who're responsible for the Soviet triumph, and because they want to divert the attention from the fact that they've been funding the Germans since the very beginning. Even your only authority on the Eastern Front David Glantz has said that even without the Lend-Lease the Russians/Soviets would've won the war.

US outperforming them wouldn't cause the Union to collapse into 15 Shithole states. The real reason was the Economic stupidity known as Perestroika, a policy so bereft of common sense that it caused factories to produce less and less industrial goods. From 1987 onwards, the economy of the Soviet Union began to collapse with severely reduced output and hyperinflation. The economy shrunk significantly for around 4 years before communism was abandoned and then economy collapsed even further. By the mid-90s GDP was probably half of what it had been in 1987.
Before I go sleep I reccomend you read about the edict made by the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union in June 1987 the Law on State Enterprise under the short reign of Yuri Andropov. Supreme Soviet had been radically altered to include younger more reform minded individuals and by 1987 and with Gorbachev leading the forefront of reform a decision was made to further improve economic performance in hindsight this State Enterprise law caused a drop in production, an economic collapse after it.
Perestroika and Glasnost essentially created a monster that turned the Russian people against the Communist party, the collapse of the Union could have been prevented without them.

Ukraine post 2014 was Europe's Prussia. An army with a country. Their army was the only well functioning institution there. And for a good reason, they fought a low intensity war in Donbas the whole time.
I'm pretty sure if push comes to shove, like Russia attacking Estonia, there will be a massive clusterfuck in Europe. Not only none of our armies has any combat experience in living memory. It's also our societies are mentally incapable to accept wartime loses. If soldiers start to return in plastic bags, there will be a hell of a political shitstorm in majority of EU nations.

kek stupid nafo troons.

we are not westerners - we always used and will use horses and donkeys on the battlefield.

do you know why?
because for whatever reason they do not step on mines.
I shit you not. Nobody can explain it.
this is why we used them in afganistan too btw.

>because for whatever reason they do not step on mines.

>>
>>524155575

That's what I meant, idiot.
EU societies are absolutely mentally not prepared for wartime loses. When dead soldiers start to arrive, there will be a massive political upheaval.

Ukraine had 8 years to fortify its society in anticipation for the invasion.
>>
>>524155633
imagine never listening to the other side and always repeating the lies you yourself invented out of thin air.

this is what real cope looks like.
we used those in ww2 too btw.
>>
>>524155749
we are ready
this time russia will cease to exist
>>
>>524155849

I've read enough about WW2, last war in which horses were used on mass scale, to know this is nothing but retarded cope.
Horses were being blown up left and right when they were stepping on mines. In fact, some roads were specifically mined so horse supply trains will be blown up.

This "horses don't step on landmines" is literally a BS made up in recent weeks by Russian propaganda outlets to "explain" their retarded audience why second army in the world reverted to using horses.

Had horses such magical properties, no army would ever abandon them in favor of motor vehicles.

What's probably going on is that anti-personnel mines won't go off if a horse steps on them.
The designers don't want them blowing up under automobiles because it's a waste of a mine, so they're engineered to ignore heavy loads.
