Real history, Netanyahu had Israel send a bunch of funds to Hamas through Qatari intermediaries, and this was deliberately to prop up a more violent, radicalized enemy Israel could now justify war against, instead of the PLO which was somewhat more moderate and secular and could’ve gotten way more international sympathy, been more reasonable & hence made Israel look bad. I think there’s a similar dynamic going on here, if you’re someone violently shitposting “KILL ALL JEWS!!! NOW!!!!” you’re more easily discreditable, and also get even more sympathy for Jews and e.g. funding and support to groups like the ADL, and even get elements of the FBI, DHS, police forces or whoever to defend Jews more.
