what are the political implications of 13 million people in a desert valley getting 4x average rainfall in 2-3 days time? floods, landslides, mass panic?
>>
Will what’s left of Pacific Palisades glide down muddy slopes into the sea
>>
Nothings gonna happen, they hype all of these "major floods" whenever we get more than 2 inches of rain

during fire season they drain the reservoirs. When its going to flood they fill them so they can drain them at peak rainfall to help increase runoff and flood the areas they approved for over construction. Interesting the areas that burned in January were way over built and fire prone areas, yet no, or not nearly enough design, construction, nor maintenance was done for fire water supply lines, fire hydrants, or fire response. Most people this is just incompetence, but reality is more interesting. After the fires the Sheriff refused to let residents back in to their homes but the gangs of looters had no trouble getting full access over several weeks.

During the Maui fires the tard in charge of water supply denied the fire department's request to release more water so they could fight the fires, then the police blocked the roads the people needed to use to evacuate.

It takes three hours to get across the city during rush hour on a good day. Now throw in torrential rain and holiday traffic. Pucker up, Whoville!

Lived in the high desert decades ago(fuck it bigtime, Rosemond is KINDA ok for being the litteral sticks) and monsoons could happen, there is a lot of farm/orchards that were fallow, failed construction plots and heavy rains would flood mud and wash out roads/cars/people.

But california is unpleasant to think of and I get reminded daily seeing all their FUCKING plates in Vegas.

But good that we're forecasted to get rain at least 2 days. Perhaps it may well snow in the city over either Christmas or new years again. Seen it happen a few times in spotty years. And all the californians can cause accidents not being able to drive in rain for some reason. Yeah I know it's hard to see, so stop going fast and jerking your rented cuckmobiles around the lanes with your blinkers showing wrong direction.
