Generally, what are you inclined to think of the political and social future of America? Will the USA last through the 21st century, or not?

My thoughts: The USA still exists, but will become more chaotic during the 2030s and 2040s, quickly becoming less politically cohesive, with more socio-economic hardships. The MAGA/Trump movement may hardly survive its founder, if at all it lingers well into the 2030s. By then, both Republicans and Democrats will try, ineffectually both, to adapt to new political, social, and economic realities.
Depends on if we end up with another FDR instead of 4 decades of Grover Clevelands. I'd say we end up with soviet-esque meltdown in a decade or two where more and more of the US looks like the midwestern shitholes that never recovered from NAFTA. Other countries lap us in innovation because we were too focused on letting monopolies continue to kill any competition. It was inevitable post-reagan after neither political side would bite the bullet and actually try to fix the deficit, labor, housing and immigration issues that keep our economy in the bubble it's been in.
