[1 hour ago] Finally, Trump listened to reason and decided to adopt the brazilian strategy. In it, Maduro leaves this entire Venezuela ordeal without being arrested. Instead, he peacefully resigns and volunteers to colaborate with US law enforcement to remain free. The legislative assembly of Venezuela then re-organized and calls for an indirect election, where a ticket of Juan Capriles / María Corina Machado should win.

Then the US fleet is allowed to leave. Everythng ends well. No tomahawks strike Venezuela. No more deaths.

who is going to force Maduro to resign? the opposition has left the country and Maduro has already purged anyone who could oppose him. who exactly will make him resign if he doesn't want to? have they even thought through this plan?

Maduro stole the election away from Machado anyway.
It's just a reset.

Reasonable. Maduro could go to Russia like Assad and hang out with Assad. Could be good for Maduro to have a fren in exile

Keep that fucking jew loving bitch Maria Corona Machado the fuck out of the country. Better yet make her have an accident. Install a Bukele character that can clean up that shithole not another globohomo whore for Klaus Swabia.

Russia is boring, Assad is rotting playing Fortnite, unable to leave his room for fears of being thrown out of a balcony. Maduro loves Turkey, he should hang with the watermelon seller.

I just don't understand the reasoning. Maduro had already endured multiple catastrophic economic collapses as a result of oil prices falling throughout the past decade. His generals have backed him fully through these crises, repressed the population, and committed countless crimes for him. They are basically in the same boat as him. So again who will force him to resign if there is another economic crisis as a result of the blockade?

It will be done even before the new leadership is elected, anon. Don't worry.

All these tupamaros carrying guns around will be transitioned by the time of the inauguration.

>>524188360
He must voluntarily resign. It is a presidential power to do so.

This has always been the brazilian stance on the US x Venezuela conflict. Let Maduro voluntarily resign to avoid any personal persecution for him, his family and loyalists. Then have Maduro colaborate with US law enforcement pointing out where the supposed cartel facilities are, so the USA gets to save face (because these cartel facilities do not exist in reality, at least not enough to warrant war).

Then let the legislative of Venezuela call for immediate indirect elections, where the candidates are allowed to run in absentia and only come from Florida to Venezuela once the election is won.

It is very simple. The USA gets an ally, Venezuela gets a peaceful transition of power, Brazil is not threatened by the precedent of gunboat diplomacy, and nobody else needs to die.

He'd be really dumb to do so. But if he does not resign, pressure will have to continue until it mounts. The blockade will remain and strangle his nation's capacity to trade. The USA will answer for criminal lawsuits because what they are practicing is illegal, effectively piracy, and an act of war. But the USA does not seem to care for international law, so it won't make any difference.

This is how the escalation ladder goes:
Gunboat diplomacy:
>threat of war
>illegal seizure of ships
>mount an armada on venezuelan shores
>threat a blockade
>blockade starts capturing large ships
>offer Maduro's resignation and conditioned amnesty to him and his cabinet, provided he colaborates with US authorities in finding drug facilities
(You are here)
>fly over venezuelan airspace to prove you can
>say you promisse support to any venezuelan politician who will topple Maduro
>arm a small psyop of a venezuelan strike against America or say you are retaliating Maduro's persecution of his opposition to get an excuse. Use the excuse to justify a strategic tomahawk missile attack against a drug facility
>offer Maduro to resign (again) on the same terms

War:
>perform airstrikes on Venezuela until Maduro resigns or a revolution topples him if that does not happen
>invade Venezuela

I don't believe it will come to war. Latin America has two types of leaders, those who fight and those who get fucked. Maduro is not the fighting type.

Oooooooh, THATS why lefties are all fucked off today! Dude is taking Venezuela without a shot fired, so they're ramping up the fake Epstein shit to 1,000% to discredit this monumental achievement.
If anyone here ever wonders why leftists go turbo-autismo some days more than others, just check the news cycle to see what Trump achieved that morning.

The left is the party of losers and failures, so they attack successful people on sight.
This is neither speculation nor conjecture, but fact.

Maduro isn't going to resign and something tells me you're a zambo refugee high on hopium. Maduro holds all the cards there. He can continue shipping oil and ragebaiting the US into boarding his tankers and bombing more boats, every fuckup fuels china and Russia more to be bolder. It's a lose-lose situation for the US atm

The genie is out of the lamp. The USA can't just pack up and return their fleet to what they were currently doing. They need convincing results in Venezuela. If Maduro does not resign, they need at least a promisse of election. But that already would be settling for less.

I do agree the USA has put itself in an unecessarily hard spot with this whole Venezuela affair. It is so unecessary and dangerous.
>>
>>524190918
>don't resign

It really is that easy for Maduro to win.

Maduro is also receiving help from las FARC/Petro. So even if trump keeps committing piracy in Venezuela's coast, he will need to put Colombia in a chokehold and maybe Venezuela might tap out. But the fact is trump has been unable to make a shitty communist Caribbean island nation kneel despite blockading +60% of their oil supply, and he won't make Maduro kneel any time soon. Then Maduro will pull some retarded cumbia dancing stunt in public in order to further taunt the US. Maybe this time he might sing a Katherine Carpenter song in his rallies lmao

Will the Nobel committee withdrawal Machado's prize if it emerges that she collaborated with Trump in attacking Venezuela and promoting high-seas piracy?

Trump may be the first person to ever get a Peace Prize taken away without ever having received one. Basically he's aiming to score -1.
