A starting salary of $60K is literally resident pay at any major metropolitan hospital. I was on track to be a doctor but ran out of money in medical school and ended up as an RN. I still stack $100K after 6 years, but I don't do it for the money. Uber rich doctors can be very abusive. I've seen other nurses get fired because they didn't know the patient they were treating was a friend of the hospital administrator and they didn't show the right (((respect))).
