My mother and father are about 90% responsible for my failures in life. My mother had a semi romantic-incest relationship with me. In fact it was a mix of romantic and me being her father reincarnated (he died a couple years before I was born and I look just like him). I'm 42 now and she still does it to me constantly. I told her to stop since I was a little boy and every stage of life since. She won't. My dad is like shinji's dad. They both convinced me to live at home when I graduated college, to buy a nice car instead of saving up, when I had just found my first real girlfriend. I feel they sabotaged me and my future. They watched me lose my gf within a matter of months. She moved on, got married, and has the family I wanted with her. I have no one, no wife, no children.
