When Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well that “salvation is from the Jews” (John 4:22), He was acknowledging this historical, ethnic reality.However, the New Testament makes a profound shift. Through His sacrifice, Christ became the head of a new creation. Believers in Christ, whether by birth Greek, Scythian, barbarian, or Israelite, are spiritually grafted into Him (Romans 11:17).
